If Strikeforce is using Lindland as a “gatekeeper” of sorts to some of these prospects, then I feel that it would be fine to have him on their roster. However, it looks to me like this is a “gimme” fight to Lindland, who really has no upside to Strikeforce as this time.

How the hell is Strikeforce getting this fight past the commission?

A guy with 27 wins who has fought the best competition the sport has to offer and was highly ranked for about 10 years versus a kid who is most famous for (1) getting kicked out of his gym for promoting himself to blackbelt and (2) hanging around with D list celebrities from a reality TV show.

How he hell does that fight get sanctioned?

After watching that hype video, all I can say is ….

They didn’t have any footage of Casey actually fighting. All they had was footage of him doing bullshit demos versus multiple attackers in the dojo. The least they could have done is shown him getting KTFO by the Super Hluk champ.
