I’m not going to order this card, but there definitely is some intrigue to it. I mean, Krazy Horse is fighting.

It’s not worth the purchase, but I’ll be watching. ;)

mayorga looks real soft. does he always?

by castleeb on May 15, 2010 4:33 AM EDT reply actions

I was thinking the same

I know he has bragged about drinking and smoking even during training camps though.

Anyone know what weight he boxed at?

by Jahmelianenko on May 15, 2010 7:41 AM EDT up reply actions

Welterweight, junior middleweight and middle weight.

by TLAoutlaw on May 15, 2010 8:13 AM EDT up reply actions

Meaning 147, 154, 160?

If so, was he always this fat at 160?

by Jahmelianenko on May 15, 2010 8:31 AM EDT up reply actions

even at 147 he was never really that defined

here’s him at 164 when he fought Vargas:

It doesn’t look like anything is too much different. I’m rooting for him. WAR MAYORGA

BOOO

take away your MMA fan card. Can you imagine what will happen if Mayorga wins? It will “discredit” mma to so many people. Even if it isn’t true, many uninformed people will just use it to agrue how boxing is still so much more suprerior to MMA

bah...

I’m pulling for Mayorga because he’s fun. If a former UFC champion getting KO’ed by Ray Mercer didn’t do anything to “discredit” MMA, Mayorga beating a “UFC washout” that most people have never heard of isn’t going to bring the sport to its knees.

Did Kid Nate just lose his job as the UFC hater??

by grein on May 15, 2010 11:38 AM EDT up reply actions

He’s a UFC hater for wanting someone that no longer fights in the UFC to lose?

by Taua on May 15, 2010 11:40 AM EDT up reply actions

I don't even WANT Din to lose...I just want Mayorga to win

and I don’t actually mean to disrespect Thomas by calling him a “UFC washout” I was just framing the story as it will be framed should Mayorga win.

Is there a list of what the contracted weight limits are for each of these fights?

by Simco on May 15, 2010 5:06 AM EDT reply actions

Yeah, there’s eight fights that are being contested at eight different weight limits between 150 and 205. What is this, boxing?

I could understand if Ninja and Heath was bumped up to 190 because of how late Heath took the fight but was it even scheduled to be at 185?

by rabrown on May 15, 2010 5:11 AM EDT up reply actions

Mayorga was at his peak at welterweight, 147 pounds. It looks like he’s expecting to walk in and bang Thomas out quickly, hey it’s a possibility!
