Goulet was knocked off his feet when he heard the news.

Your style's like garbage cans meant to be taken out on a weekly basis
Ever since your first record you've been in a state of suspended animation
You look like Snuffleuffagus and Australopithecus

Both guys only provided value in that they were from Japan and Canada to fight on local shows.....
Since the UFC isn’t venturing out into Japan Yoshida had no real value. Sorry to the guys, they’ll find gigs.

Poor Goulet, There are so many fighters in MMA who weak paper chins are so over exaggerated but not him. He would not be a half bad fighter if not for how dam easy it is to KO him cold. I would not even call his chin weak its almost rotten away at this point. It seems he just goes out cold when ever he is hit in it with a average punch. You can work on every thing else in combat sports thats bad, technique, cardio, timing, speed, etc but most will tell you a weak chin is something a fighter can’t get rid off no matter what they do ?
I'm giving Dana White knockout of the night
for cutting Goulet.

Needless to say, he floored Goulet once he told him he was cut.
Okay I’ll stop now….

No longer getting to be KO’d by the likes of Kos or Rumble is a pretty good present.

Honestly sad to see Goulet go. After Shogun knocked the Dragon stiff, my buddy and girlfriend were chanting “Goulet! Goulet! Goulet!” in hopes of getting to see his fight. I think him making it out of round 1 was the highlight of their night.
Perhaps my best years are gone. When there was a chance of happiness. But I wouldn't want them back. Not with the fire in me now. No, I wouldn't want them back.
Was anyone actually surprised by the Goulet cut?
What I found even more surprising was that he was still on the roster. I assumed they brought him back just for this event since he is a Canadian.
It might be a bullshit reason but Joe Silva might keep bringing him back to the UFC to fight and this has been the 5th time they have broughten him back sence the UFC has been under Zuffa. Joe knows dam well if he puts Goulet up against a half way decent striker he is almost assured a highlight reel KO and about 85% of the times its going to be Goulet on the bad side of that KO.
ZEEEEEEEEENKOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
This makes me sad..
Blackout612- "Wuts teh UFC?"
Ubernoober- "It like two guy who just stand and swing for fence and try to knock each other shit out it awesome"
I'm going to miss Goulet's advertorial hairstyles.
But let’s face it, he was a squash offered to help Davis get his head straight.

![Lyoto wants his belt back!
"It’s a complicated moment for me, I’m looking for the mistakes I made in the fight, but on the other hand it’s great because I’m getting a lot of support from my fans".
"I was well trained and focused because our previous fight had a lot of controversies. I wanted to end this fight, I was feeling fast but a fight is a fight, there’s not much to say. Sometimes you are winning the fight but get caught and it’s over. I think I was winning the fight even though he was more aggressive".
"Merits to Shogun, he deserved it and is the new champion, but that’s not the end of the story, life goes on".
Leaving the top of his division, Lyoto dreams about the opportunity to fight for the title once again. "Whoever has the belt in the future, I hope to have that opportunity [again], but if it’s Shogun that will be even better, as the victory will be more satisfying".
"His punch connected and, in this division, it’s hard to absorb the blow. When it connects, it’s really difficult [to absorb it]"
"My goal is to fight for the title in a year or maybe even less, perhaps around 10 months or so. Regaining the belt is my new dream."
