Roger Huerta Talks Bellator and His Future
Roger Huerta wants to take a fight in K-1 or DREAM during the remainder of the Bellator tourney.
Following his loss to Pat Curran I had a feeling that it may have been the fact that Huerta was used to recovery periods and full training camps before each fight that threw him off. Maybe the quick turnaround with little time to recover just led to him getting tired and being "off." But judging from the fact that he is already looking to take another fight I think it is far more likely that he just had an off night and got beat.

Gotta love Huerta My not be the best fighter, but gotta love his heart. Not to mention probalby one of the best spoken representives MMA has.

Maybe an off night, but his striking is pretty wild and he doesn’t seem like a great wrestler. Unless he improves, it seems a guy like Pat Curran who can stay on his feet and slow the tempo down will give Roger trouble.
I’m still a big fan though.

It’s pretty awesome on Huerta’s part to get as far as he did in the lightweight division with his heart and a set of limited skills. He’ll always be an exciting fighter that succumbs to ruthlessly, efficient fighters.
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.
JZ’s knee will blow out before the fight happens. As I’ve said before, the Pavel Bure of MMA.

Or maybe he isn't that good
The only guy of note that he beat at 155 is Clay Guida, who is good, but not a top 15 fighter.
He beat:
John Halverson (0-2 in UFC, now fighting at 170)
Jason Dent (the guy who was on TUF 9 and should be fighting at 145)
Leonard Garcia (fighting at 145)
Doug Evans (Including loss to Huerta went on a 4 fight losing streak)
Alberto Crane (who went 0-2 in the UFC then washed out)
He then beat Guida, lost to Ken-Flo, Maynard and left the UFC.
He’s good and is a true gamer, but honestly, I don’t think he’s as great as he was made out to be, and I think Alvarez would have his way with Huerta.
He's still young
but was a result of the Zuffa hype machine. He’s a young good looking guy with an exciting style. Obviously he was giving the TUF winner treatment but he didn’t look terrible when he took on top competition. Bellator benefitted from signing him just because of the PR and he benefitted in his wallet.

No, he was in complete control until Huerta merced out.

He said he can fight for any organization so how about Josh Thompson?
Belator has said that they wouldn’t mind seeing an Alvarez v Melndez fight. Coker isn’t totally opposed to cross promotion. We could do Huerta v Thompson as a test run.
I think they can fight for other organizations outside of the North America so the only option for a Alvarez/Melendez fight would be for them to fight outside of NA.
This is correct
The Bellator contract is North America exclusive.
