I really have to thank my fans, but I also ask people to understand that MMA is a sport. At times, we find people on the internet losing their composure because of a fight result, which isn't cool. After all, this isn't a fight. No one walks in there to kill anyone. I always do my best to respect my opponent, and Shogun has always proven to be very respectful. Supporters from both camps should understand that we train to win, but respect is also supremely important, and that is essential for the continued growth of the sport. In the end, when the fight and the rivalry are all said and done, we'll all get together and show that we're colleagues. If we wish to take the sport to the top, we must follow this line of thought.
