Bellator XIII - Live Results and Commentary
As with every major show, BloodyElbow.com will be here to bring you live results and commentary for Bellator XIII. The live blog will start with the beginning of the FSN broadcast (at 8PM ET) so make sure to make Bloody Elbow your home for this event.
As always we have our one rule: NO SPOILERS! In the interest of not ruining anything from the undercard that may make the broadcast we ask that you do not discuss the results of the undercard in the comments until either the broadcast ends or the fight makes the air.
So again, join us for the show and share your thoughts as the event unfolds.
A note: Results are below the fold. Please be aware that while I'll not spoil the live results on the front page, we will not be waiting to talk about the results on the front page. There will likely be multiple articles on the night's action up by tomorrow.
The Fox broadcast is live. First fight up shortly.
Bao Quach vs. Georgi Karakhanyan - Round 1 - Quach caches Karakhanyan off balance as he kicks and is now on top. Quach working some body shots. They go back to standing and now Karakhanyan is unloading and landing some big punches. Quach fires back and Karakhanyan lands a nice head kick. Quach looking for a takedown. As they are moving for position Quach almost has the back and they 're firing shots again. Whenever they stand at distance and strike Georgi is landing the much better blows. To the ground again and Quach is working to take the back again. Quach is working knees to the back of the thighs and now they're standing again. Karakhanyan lands a few nice punches and now a knee to the chin and Quach is down and OUT! Karakhanyan lands a few more punches to the down and out Quach and the fight is stopped. Quach was out cold. Georgi Karakhanyan wins by KO (knee & punches), round 1.
Joe Warren vs. Eric Marriott- Round 1 - Warren tries to shoot and Marriott tries to stuff it but Warren just worked through it into the takedown. Joe controlling an arm and trying to hammerfist. Warren is trying to just push down and keep control of the legs of Marriott while landing punches to avoid the submission attempts. Warren landing punches and now Marriott grabs a leg and uses it to get back to standing. Warren charges right back in and gets a body lock into a takedown into side control. Warren moves Marriott back against the cage and keeps looking for and arm. Marriott has a deep armbar! Warren picks him up and slams his way out of it. That was very close. DEEP TRIANGLE NOW WITH 30 SECONDS LEFT! The round ends and Warren survives. I'm going to give that round to Marriott 10-9 based on 2 very close finishes. Round 2 - Warren looks gassed early but does manage to get a takedown. Warren working some small punches here. Marriott keeps trying to find an arm and is taking a lot of small punches. Warren starting to connect with better punches and elbows now. Marriott isn't doing much but throwing up his legs and is eating shots. The round ends and it was 10-9 Warren. Round 3 - Warren with another quick takedown and working on some punches. They go to standing for a second and then another bodylock and Warren takes him right back down. Marriott has an armbar again! Warren slams his way out of it. Warren is just winning the fight here by staying on top and landing. They go back to the feet for the last 10 seconds and the round ends. 10-9 Warren on my card should make it 29-28. Official Scorecards: 30-27 across the board. Joe Warren wins by unanimous decision.
Roger Huerta vs. Chad Hinton - Round 1 - Hinton lands a punch and then they lock up. Roger was looking for a takedown and Hinton puts him against the cage with underhooks. Low blow by Roger with a knee and Hinton is fine. A few knees to the body now by Huerta. Huerta counters a head kick with a push kick that knocks Hinton down. Huerta tries to take his back but they end up standing. Hinton tries for a takedown and Roger blocks it and they scramble back to standing. Hinton with the Thai pumb and lands a few knees. Roger lands a punch that looked to stagger Hinton and now Chad with a takedown. They stand back up, Roger lands a few punches and Hinton with a takedown again. Hinton lookis to take the back now and Huerta makes sure he's high enough to prevent and now lands some ground and pound as the round ends. 10-9 Huerta on my card. Round 2 - Hinton with a head kick and Roger is unloading with punches now and gets a takedown. Roger passes to half now. Roger is landing big punches from the top now. Huerta is continuing to find a home for the big right hand from the top. Roger continues to pound away. Roger is into side control after landing a lot of damage but gets pulled back into half guard. Huerta passes to full mount with eighteen seconds left. Hinton is able to survive but that is as clear of a 10-8 round as there is. Round 3 - Roger drills him with a few huge punches and now Hinton takes his back standing so Roger flips forward to get out. Roger is on top and turns to a knee bar and locks it up for the submission. Roger Huerta wins by submission (knee bar), round 3.
Joe Duarte vs. Carey Vanier - Round 1 - Body kick by Vanier and he slips but pops back up. Another solid body kick by Vanier. Leg kick by Carey now. Double leg by Vanier and he gets the takedown into half guard. Duarte is able to get up without much trouble. Big slam by Vanier and he's back on top. Back to standing and again Vanier lands a body kick. Knee to the body by Duarte. They exchange punches and the round ends. 10-9 Vanier. Round 2 - Leg kick by Vanier lands. Now a left lands for Carey. Duarte is slowing down and Vanier is bouncing in and out. Takedown by Duarte but Vanier bounces right back up. Body kick by Duarte now. Right hand for Duarte now. Left straight from Vanier. Vanier landing some big body shots against the cage now and a takedown. Hammerfists by Vanier now and he's taking over the round late here. Duarte looks for a kimura and Vanier is able to ride it out to the end of the round. 10-9 Vanier (but a much closer round). Round 3 - Vanier with a few nice punches early in the round and a takedown. Vanier is much fresher here and Duarte looks pretty tired. Vanier is landing great shots to the head and body now. Vanier is absolutely punishing him this round. Duarte tries for a guillotine but doesn't have position. Vanier pouring on the hammerfists now and the ref is forced to jump in and stop the action. Carey Vanier wins by TKO (punches), round 3.

I checked the website
looks like FSN is my only hope, but the lineup wasn’t very specific, might be SOL
all you gotta do is...
FSN is the place to go. Other than…you know…the internet.

For some it's not even FSN...
I’m in the Bay Area and here on cable it is Comcast Sports Net Bay Area. I guess in some regions they sold the naming rights or franchised it out.

I checked out the guide on my cable box
I searched for Bellator and it gave me some weird spanish music channel that I’ve never heard of before. It’s supposed to be on at midnight tonight.
"I will do nothing lightly. When I walk, I will walk heavily. When I fight, I will fight with conviction. When I speak, I will speak strongly. When I love, I will love with everything"
this is fucking ridiculus
I live In Miami the f ing event is 40 minutes from my house and I cant’ even watch it on fsn !!!
not even at a later time!!!! i just got off the phone with comcast and they can’t find anythin for bellator on fsn for toninght or tomorrow or sunday !!! WTF!
The branding is noticeably different than on ufc's.
the fighting championships isn’t even legible. Big win for everlast there. They lost all credibility when they branded a shitty gatorade in the mid 90’s
No joke
I bought those and they actually work pretty well. I’m all about being frugal

Are the result going to be blasted all over the main page afterwards?
Most Canadian fans don’t get to see the fights until Friday night and any results on the main page will qualify as spoilers…
A note: we will have results on the front page of this site. Please avoid the site if you do not want to be “spoiled” because of tape delay.
That's dumb.
For how long will we have to avoid Bloody Elbow at all until it airs all over? Why can’t they just stick the results below the fold and we look at them at out discretion? Maybe wait until Saturday to openly discuss them, giving everyonoe a chance to have it air on their channel?

Being from Cincinnati I’ve seen Hinton fight and he is a decent fighter. Based on the fact that Bellator didn’t even give him an intro or mention anything about him I’m thinking he is canno fodder for Huerta. Hinton is 38 but ripped like nobodty ive ever seen I’ve heard he cuts alot not sure how much. Pulling for an upset.
Easy round to score for Huerta although I’m sure people will argue that.

I give up.
The just skipped from the Cavs post game show (which was supposed to air before Bellator) straight to ’The Final Score (which was supposed to air after Bellator). Looks like FSN is going to pull their usual shenanigans and make it impossible to plan around watching their MMA programming.

He went from being sponsored by Assasin’s Creed II to no sponsors at all?? he better hope he wins the tourney and gets that 100k

he’s making good bank on the fights also…and he’s the heavy favorite to win the $100,000 at the end. He’s doing just fine

If you’re right, I got money on this one.
Alvarez is not participating in the tourney
He’s already the champ. Winner of this tourney gets 100k and a shot at the strap
Yeah he’s also a wannabe actor that left the big leagues to fight scrubs, Roger’s story was great up until he went hollywood now I want to see him get smashed in the worst way possible.
He said some honest things about the UFC,
was blacklisted, and is now in a tournament with the #2 or 3 LW in the world. Nothing you wrote is true.
he wasn’t happy with his pay so he found a job that paid better and gave him more flexibility to pursue other interests. That this bothers you so deeply is odd to me.
