Linear thinking: Werdum will need an opponent in about 2 weeks.
Keep Firing, Assholes!
I wonder what Shane Carwin thinks about all of this?
Not gonna happen
He’s trying to crush cans for premium dollars.

Way too close
The Werdum-Fedor fight assuming it happens wouldn’t be until very late June (June 26th)

Fedor ain’t fighting Werdum is my point.
Keep Firing, Assholes!
I wonder what Shane Carwin thinks about all of this?
I think it’ll get worked out.
M-1 needs to maintain their image to keep some fan support, and fans will be dissappointed if Fedor only fights once per year.

M-1 doesn’t give two shits about the fans. They want more money.

^^^youre right^^^
The biggest asset to M-1 is Fedor and his invincible reputation. Fedor needs to get beat, so we can watch him fight in the UFC finally. I care two shits about M-1 Global.
If Russia attacked Turkey from the rear, Do you think Greece would help?
From all the reports and mma radio shows I have been listing to bolth sides seem to be pretty damfar away from finding a middle ground. Right now I myself think its about a 75% chance Fedor won’t fight Werdum on that june show ?
Yea there is nothing I have seen or heard that makes me think they are working things out. In fact I would say everything I have read points to them not working things out.
Just BE.
...but the ball is in both coarts that should result in something good...
I have far more faith in the NFL’s labour despute being resolved…
Sounds about right

Well at least Lashley has been honest about it
Saying Cans or Fedor is pretty up front.
But obviously they can’t give him Fedor.

We already knew that.

What's equally hilarious
Is that I read that Lashley was offered a fight against Overeem, but since his manager thought Fedor was the champ he turned it down only to ask for it back after Rogers got the shot. For Strikeforce’s sake I hope that isn’t true.
Come on
Those are lies. He doesn’t want to fight the champ, he knows they wouldn’t let him. This guy is making a mockery of Strikeforce. He should seriously stick to pro wrestling. Del Rosario is the right fight for him. He won’t take it.

Agreed. Del Rosario is a good next step for Lashley, and while it is high risk for Lashley, I do feel that it is high reward for him as well in that he is able to get the “W,” and it will show how far he has come along. Lashley really needs to stop fighting the cans like Sims, Sapp, Jason Guida, and others that won’t help him get valuable in cage/ring experience and that most know that he will beat. Even against those cans, he still doesn’t try to stand with these guys which would help his standup greatly.
I hate to keep going over this, because I have many times, but his game is pretty obvious— Strikeforce is paying him a pretty penny, and doesn’t tell him who he’s fighting. So he wants to fight a bunch of bums and make maximum money. It’s cowardly, but it makes a bit of sense. He’s sort of posturing with Coker and saying “Hey, you give me who I want, or I’ll just wrestle”. Coker needs to straighten up his spine and say “Dude, you’re fighting Del Rosario. I’m releasing a press release that says you’ve been offered the fight and he’s already accepted. You take it or we’re not offering you anything else”.

It makes sense, yes, from the perspective of someone with very little invested in the sport. I think it shows more than anything else that Lashley, no matter how much he trains (or doesn’t), is only doing MMA out of convenience. The problem with dealing with a person like that is exactly what you outlined: Lashley can just walk away. What does he care if Strikeforce puts out a press release calling him as a self-important, deluded wannabe-fighter? He can make his coin elsewhere, and the reputation from MMA doesn’t carry over to his wrestling career except in his increased visibility.
"I'm AJB and I endorse this nut-puncher."
and while it is high risk for Lashley, I do feel that it is high reward for him as well in that he is able to get the "W,"
Aside fom myself and people in the internet, I don’t know a single person who has heard of Shane Del Rosario. I would say that fight is not worth the risk reward for that reason.
I wanna see him take a step up in competition, but Rosario isn’t a smart matchup.
So what you'r suggesting is they put him against Brett Rogers, Overeem, Arlovski, Werdum, or Bigfoot Silva?
If that’s the only other option for Lashley I don’t think I could complain about his current choices.
For who is available in Strikeforce, it is a good step up. Strikeforce, while they are able to pick up some free agent Heavyweights out there, don’t have the Heavyweights on their current roster to really give someone like Lashley steps up the ladder. What I mean is that Strikeforce either has cans, prospects (Cormier, Lashley, Del Rosario, Lavar Johnson), or upper-tier Heavyweights (Werdum, Rogers, Arlovski, Antonio Silva, Overeem, Fedor). There are no real mid-tier Heavyweights in Strikeforce, so Lashley’s only real option in Strikeforce to fight someone that is a step up but not in the upper-tier is Del Rosario or maybe Lavar Johnson.
Lashley wants a paycheck… if he wanted to test himself he would of been in the UFC. Unfortunately for shitfarce in order to sign him his management calls the shots. So they have to come up with an opponent. I hear Greg Nagy is available.
Who's Shitfarce?

LOL, This is terrible. I think Del Rosario should call him out after every fight, do a Twitter-bomb campaign, talk about it in every interview until Lashley has to directly respond to it.
Crush a bit, little bit, roll it up, take a hit... Feelin’ lit, feelin’ light, 2 am summer night...
I remember Bret Rogers doing basically that with Kimbo Slice in EliteXC… Team Kimbo knew to keep him the hell away, but tried to smear Bret in the process.
Getting bent out of shape over a fight promoter lying is like getting upset that a hooker won't kiss you. It betrays a deep lack of understanding of the nature of the profession.
Lashley just wants squash matches.

@deowade
After this lil tidbit of info, I suddenly feel that Lashley is trying to build/pad his record to achieve something…..I gotta agree with the last line about going back to pro wrestling >>
Just like in Pro Wrasslin...
he wants his fights fixed, but more in the boxing sense where they do it via the match up…until there is a payday to be had.
Add Lashely to the list...
of things I am pretty much sick of hearing about in reference to MMA:
Other things on the list:
Fedor fighting either on Strikeforce card X or for the UFC
The status of Tito Ortiz, as a fighter or as a married man

Good additions.
So far we have:
Bobby Lashley match making
Fedor fighting either on Strikeforce card X or for the UFC
The status of Tito Ortiz, as a fighter or as a married man
BE being elitist
Chael Sonnen’s thoughts on Anderson Silva
WAMMA
Now we are getting somewhere.
I am good on all this until the Chael portion. That shit is hilarious.

I'll admit that I kind of like the Chael stuff myself...
in the “I hope he brings out the best in Anderson” sort of way.
But I would not begrudge someone wanting him on the list as the volume of shitalkery from him is already high and we’ve got some time to go till the fight.
I’ll read humorous articles about WAMMA; in that sense, it falls into the Yamma Pit/Wargodz category of the absurdly hilarious. But I don’t want to hear anything dealing with it as a serious part of the sport, cause it isn’t and won’t be.
I’m pretty damn sick of Canseco. I’d like to stop hearing about him until something… happens. I was going to say “something interesting” or “something relevant”, and realized I was setting the bar way too high.

C'mon, Bobby. What's Ron Simmons gonna think? Damn!

Lemonade was a popular drink, and it still is. I get more stunts and props than Bruce Willis- Guru
If Bobby Lashley cared about what Ron thinks
He’d be taking advantage of his non-exclusive contract and smashing guys at his experience level on a monthly basis in Bumblef%#k Iowa to get some experience.
Or possibly learning MMA skills for his pro debut, but that’s a dream I have come to accept will never be a reality.
Here is my drunk 2 cents...
Forgive me if I’m wrong. I don’t give a fuck about watching Booby Lashley “fight”. Can or no can he will never be a top heavyweight. I wish he would get a shot at Fedor or Werdum or Rogers or Arvlovski or Overeem or Monson or Barnett. He is a nobody. He was a nobody in wrasslin and he is a nobody now. Just saying…

I don’t think you will find many people who would contest your prediction that he’ll never really be relevant as a fighter. That’s like predicting that tomorrow will be Saturday.

has anyone seen
a Shane Del Rosario fight? i mean his rec is insane, but none of his opponents even have a wiki. sooo, is he good? im excited if so.
That's what I've been saying...

His rec is insame amounst people on the interweb, but people in the real world haven’t heard of him (let alone seen him). It would be a stupid fight for Lashley to take. To the masses, a win holds no more value real than a win over a can and maybe less than a win over Wes Sims.
He was on a challenger card against brandon cash. Got beat up and locked in omoplata to win. Pretty exciting, but mostly known for striking.

You know I’d actuall respect Lashley if he took a fight with del Rosario and got his ass kicked. Its pretty clear so far that his “MMA career” is a complete fraud. So what if he gets beat? its not like his undefeated record means anything since they’ve all been against hand picked sub cans.
His management has Strikeforce over a barrel, they put him on the main card in the hope of drawing pro wrestling fans, yet his opponents are nowhere near a standard of being on any main card

Met Lashley in Nashville
At a bar, and asked him about Del Rosario, and he claimed it was Strikeforce that wouldn’t let him fight him the first time. He then said that he expected to fight Del Rosario next, this summer, and that he wanted Del Rosario pretty badly after the shit-talking from the last time.
Lashley seemed pretty genuine in his desire to fight Del Rosario, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was all some bravado for the drunken assholes like me at the bar. Either way, he needs a legit opponent for the summer.
Or else we’re gonna be seeing Kimo/Lashley in Los Angeles.

I posted long ago, that some of teh guys Lashley was training with here for a while, said that they have never seen a fighter who was so against getting hit. Now, I’m not saying he should enjoy being hit, but we all know that it is a part of fighting and you are going to get hot, sometimes really, really hard.
I truly question how much he wants a real MMA career, as opposed to just making some press. We will see, but I’m not a fan so far.
Nate Marklar said that on Inside MMA too
He said Schaub and Carwin would toy with him.
