I think that a lot of talk has gone into the fact that the comments section has jumped the shark. Perhaps someone has poisoned the waterhole. I don't know exactly what the reason is but I know that regardless of anything that has been going on lately with the influx of trolls, internet tough guys other such characters one thing has remained the same.... I like this place. I really like this place.
I have been a member here for about nine months and it has given me lots of good times. I learn a lot about the industry, the fighters and techniques. I also feel like I made some pretty cool online pseudo-acquaintances/bros and that's awesome. I know I do not have the tenure of other members here but I just think that as much attention as the bad stuff has gotten around here that we need to always appreciate the good parts.
All the regulars here contribute to the conversation in their own way. Be it personal knowledge, witty insight or observations, gifs, pictures or good debate we all make this what it is. The important thing for newer people is that it is much easier to join in in the spirit of the conversation, not to make the conversation or the BloodyElbow universe whatever YOU want it to be. The best way I have seen it work is when we all contribute to making a fun dialogue, not trying to make the dialogue all about us. I know thisredengine just wrote a great FanPost about this but I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.
Thanks to all the peeps that make this place so fun and oddly educational. Also thanks for making the phrase "Get off the goddamn bloodyelbows and come hang out with me" an all too often phrase heard in my apartment.
