I really like that idea. The Grand Prix needs some more quality guys, and Dan could use a few quick wins at LHW to reestablish himself.

i totally wish that would happen too. Be a chance to fight Mousassi sooner than expected. He has already been training and despite the 5 round fight he doesn’t look like he took any damage.

i like that idea. I would like to see them swap King Mo for Hendo. Give Mo the winner of Britt/Feijao as his next opponent and then the Strikeforce titleholder against the winner of the Dream GP.

I doubt that is going to happen

I think Dan is very focused at this point in his career on making Clinch Gear his retirement plan. He wants to get Clinch as much exposure as possible, and committing a year of his career to fighting in a tournament in Japan would be counterproductive to that goal. I have a hard time believing Japan is a major market for Clinch.

I suspect he is more interested in a one-time farewell fight rather than a multiple fight tournament.

I admire Jake a lot for his win over Dan, but Dan has always been one of my favorites, so this was a hard fight for me to watch. What tenacity by Shields though…

I like both Shields and Hendo. The two are both likeable, relatable guys.

After the first round, Henderson just didn’t look like the Henderson that knocked out Bisping or sprawl and brawled his way to victory against another BJJ fighter in Palhares. I don’t want to take anything away from Shields, but Henderson really didn’t look in top form or even in good form.
