The WEC is one the best products to watch...when you can find it.
Between not being on PPV until recently and the DirecTV vs.
Let's crowd source. I ask openly for your participation in this exercise. List in the comments all of the bars or other venues that you know are showing tonight's WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber pay-per-view event. Unlike UFC events, there appears to be no list either at the UFC or WEC website giving a list of bars carrying the event.
When you list the bar, please provide a link to it's address or website. At least give the full name and city where the bar exists. As an example, I'll go first:
Icons in Fairfax, Virginia is carrying the WEC pay-per-view. You can go to their website here.
Please participate if you know of any bars or list your hometown in the comments to see if others in your area can help. Maybe even a few of you enterprising readers can post this on a messageboard or two.

Miller’s Ale House in Levittown, Long Island, NY is listed on the site, and is a pretty good place. I’ll probably be at RC Dugans in East Meadow which is also listed on there, and is doing a $25 open bar from 9pm-1am, which is pretty badass.

Canada looks normal
I’m actually surprised that so many Canadian bars are showing the WEC. Looks pretty normal for a non-GSP fight.

I can't believe the Edgewater Casino is showing PPV events.
It’s a government-run casino, and there’s certainly no cover to enter. That seems like a gross misuse of public funds.
On topic, my regular UFC viewing site (the Frog and Firkin in Vancouver, BC) appears not to be showing WEC 48, though there are several other options in the city.
I like using semi-colons; they make me feel smart.
Edgewater’s been doing this since UFC 98 or so. Since 100, it’s been packed every time. So, they fill up that giant theatre upstairs with people who wouldn’t be in the casino at all, sell them beer at ridiculously high prices, and a good number of them probably end up dropping some money on the gambling floor after. That sounds like good business, not a “gross misuse of public funds.”
Interesting. None of the bars I normally go to in Vancouver
are showing this event, which was expected, but Kelowna? That’s a lot of bars there showing the fight. Must be lots of fight fans in the Okanagan.

My usual UFC bar is on the list. I called them up and they are only showing hockey playoffs today.

I guarantee you not all of the venues on that list are showing the fights. It’s just a broad list of places that show UFC and therefore might show WEC 48.

I called Rams Restaurant to ask if they are showing WEC PPV. They said no, but that they are showing UFC PPV. I said there is no UFC PPV tonite but WEC. He insisted it was UFC. The guy was clearly confused and didnt know what WEC was. I said never mind. Thanks. So much for promoting WEC as a brand. Everyone only know more about UFC.

Nearly all of the places showing the fight in Philly
are strip clubs. And the only bar is on Roosevelt Blvd, which I don’t feel like venturing out to.

in the reno, nv area they usually show it at all their locations but they didn’t show Abu Dhabi in all of them and they said they will be showing the ufc (even tho wec 48) fight this saturday but only at select locations

Great call. Let’s ensure that the WEC fighters keep working for slave wages, along with missing one of the best fights cards of the year, just to prove a meaningless point. As I said before how much money does Zuffa think they can wring out of it’s fans? One ppv a month is about the saturation point. They should assimilate the WEC into the ufc …make a network deal happen and have weekly fights..then have title fights on PPV’s ala WWF in 90’s.

Call your local Rams restaurant. There’s some in the burbs. But as I mentioned above the restaurant is referring to this as “UFC PPV”. They didn’t know what WEC was.
