BJ looks demoralized. I think the Hilo Burger era is about to make a comeback.
Keep Firing, Assholes!
I like things that don't make sense.
bj looked past edgar
he was slow looked outta shape and thought he could cruise throught the fight with no problems and edgars speed and gameplan won him the fight
a fully motivated bj is unbeatable at lw but he never seems to be able to keep that motivation i dont know if his knee was banged up like people are saying or if his heart just wasnt in the fight
bj DID outstrike frankie

Maybe Marv isn’t nearly the trainer his made out to be by Penn fans?

Bj won the fight.
Feints and footwork are not enough to win a fight when you’re getting outstruck the majority of the fight.
I'm like PacMan fightin you silly kids... throw ya Hatton the ring, and get knocked outlike Ricky did.
lol.
I'm not going to shed a tear for BJ
When I saw it like I though Frankie won, but on second watching and with Fight Metric I agree BJ won, but BJ really left that one in the hands of the judges by not being aggressive. He got what was coming to him in that fight and he looked like a beaten man at the end. Hopefully this makes the LW division more interesting and BJ gets motivate again.
Glad to see him talking humbly in defeat though.
I posted this in the fanshots and it got deleted instead of being promoted to the front page :(
it happens, they’ll (BE) give you credit when they can

I believe he did the same thing immediately after the GSP fight and things went downhill from there
How did I end up on this bandwagon and why does everything say property of Chael Sonnen?
he was winning on the feet.

I don’t think even BJ agrees with you. He looked pretty disappointed in the fight when the final bell rang.
BJ's Corner
Even BJ’s corner was telling him to take Edgar down—I believe after the third going into the fourth.
is ego the reason that bj had no desire to try to take this guy to the ground and show off his neglected jiu jitsu? thats the thing that makes me mad about this.. i mean youre the best bjj in your division, and 25 minutes of fighting doesnt test the guy once.. i hate when fighters dont go to their strong point..
BJ needs to find a camp and get rid of all the "yes men" in his camp
In my oh so humble opinion the thing that continually has held BJ back is the fact that he’s THE guy at his camp. There isn’t really any sort of “pit boss” that everyone listens to like a Greg Jackson or Mark DellaGrotte. He basically trains with his entourage and he clearly doesn’t listen to them after they told him several times to take Edgar down. I’m not saying he needs Greg or Mark just someone that he’ll listen to as his coach……………..if his ego will let him.
This post brought to you by a frustrated Baby J fan.
humble...
see there is the big word…he lost but did so graciously….you are allowed to hang your head because who likes to lose? no? no one?….okay. Instead of ripping his opponent apart and calling it “BS”, he congratulated Edgar and I’m sure Penn won’t look past anyone next time. Loses are also lessons learned, and BJ is no fool….
