Not one of the worst cut in the world, but one of the worst spots. Thats real bad.
Some people think I am a dumb, ugly human being, but really I am a beautiful ape, with exceptional verbal skills.
Yeah, that’s dangerously close to his eye. Shit. If Okami does more of this, he may eventually get that title shot.

Or at least get off the prelims on Fight Nights.

Damn. Linhares is, as bizarre as it sounds, the closest thing to a Finn to ever fight in UFC – and he’s dropped two in a row (Palhares and Okami). Bummer.

It is interesting that there have been no Finns in the UFC. The Swedish fighter always used to go to Finland to fight, I have always understood their mma-culture to be more developed than the Swedish one. But instead of Finns in the UFC you Swedes (not too sucessful) and a Dane (quite a bit successful) and a Norwegian (very successful) in Japan.
Thrown in the deep end
Linhares showed serious talent in the admittedly shallow pond of M-1, but the UFC threw him right in the deep end against Palhares and Okami.
I think if Linhares gets someone like Ed Herman or even Nate Quarry for his next bout he could show off a little.
Man just watched this fight. Best Okami has ever looked. Perfect example of a loss waking up a fighter and taking him to new levels. You think Kenflo’s jab was good last night? Watch this one. Beautiful jab – uppercut -straight right combo. Okami was the aggressor. Dana white must be jumping for joy, maybe Okami will finally get a main card fight now that he’s not “boring”.
WAR OKAMI
I haven’t seen the fight yet, but it is really nice to see Okami doing well. I was really surprised by his last loss, especially by how fully outworked he was.
Just watched the fight. This may be one of the best examples of a loss helping a fighter’s career; hopefully Gomi can follow his lead.
thanks!!
i didn’t know they showed pre-lim fights for free from the UFN

Okami really benefitted from training at Team Quest
He’s always been the biggest at his gym so it’s hard to get those looks of bigger fighters. Hopefully he makes that a permanent move.

I really hope they don’t cut him, Okami is no joke and it must have been hard for him to fight his brother Paul for his first UFC fight, but he did it anyway, that deserves some brownie points for that

Fantastic performance.
I watched this earlier, I loved his lead upper-cut, left-straight combo. Okami just became a scarier opponent for everyone at MW.
