He looks like he lost a fight

but he does NOT look broken, there’s still some resolve in there.

Man, that sort of ruined my night. Rough.

Me too man

I was so sad for Jens. He has always been one of my favorites, and to see that was absolutely heartbreaking.

That first picture says, “Well, here goes nothing!”
That second picture says, “Yep. That was nothing.” :(

I was never a huge Pulver fan, but man, is it getting heartbreaking watching him cry.

Elbows are good. Nothing creates drama like hole in the head and few pints of blood.

by dancingChicken on Mar 10, 2010 4:20 AM EST up reply actions

Yeah I’d hate to see elbows get banned, IMO putting a axe wound in someone’s head with your elbow is a legitimate way to win a fight.

Anyway, Torres got choked the fuck out, lets not forgot that.

by TheKeyboardWarrior on Mar 10, 2010 4:37 AM EST up reply actions

Why?

This isn’t minor league Strikeforce. Can’t take the blood watch something else. Personally I think they need to bring in stomps, soccer kicks, and knees to the ground. I want to see the closest thing to a real fight as I can(civilized of course: no groin strikes, small joint, etc.). That’s what makes it exciting.

I knew Miguel would lose to Joe

But I certainly expected a closer fight than that. Miguel was humbled by Benzvidez, and I don’t think he is a top 5 Bantam anymore.

by TDITZ on Mar 10, 2010 8:30 AM EST reply actions

Existing cut re-opened?

From the before picture, it looks like Torres may have already had a scar or a recently healed cut at that spot in his forehead that split open.

It has to be.

You’re right that there’s a visible scar in the before shot – certainly at the bottom end of the cut.

I like using semi-colons; they make me feel smart.

Yea that looks terrible. I refuse to watch 135 lbers becaue I am an idiot but Jesus that is nasty!

by p123 on Mar 10, 2010 11:52 AM EST reply actions

Thats what I never understood about weight classes....

The heavier fighters always have the least action but bigger KO power so i guess i understand the draw there.

I myself would much rather much two physically fit and athletic fighters than two heavyweights swinging for the fences.
