not that big of an irvin fan, but hopefully he manages to stay healthy leading up to the fight. dude has had some bum luck. i’m interested to see how he does with the cut to 185 as well.

I’m also interested to see how he deals with the cut. He seemed to have very little body fat at 205.

DirecTV blows, October my 2 year contract ends…then I get my WEC and now UFC on versus back. Too bad I cant watch this card from the comfort of my own couch…

by matt_spp on Mar 9, 2010 2:24 PM EST reply actions

I raised hell about it and got my cancellation fee waived...

Now I have sucky Comcast, and can’t order PPV’s in HD…but at least i don’t miss my WEC anymore…

I have Comcast

And I can get PPV in HD…but the stupid thing is you can’t order through the PPV menu, you have to find the HD PPV channel (in the 800s somewhere). I bought two SD PPVs before I found that out. Aggravating.

Unless they haven’t rolled out HD PPV in your area, in which case I’ll just shut up.

no comcast and versus blow

they had to bitch because they were being put on the sports package for directv. um im pretty sure they wanna be a sports channel and let the customers who really want versus pay for that sports package on directv. its pretty simple solution.

Irvin will get injured somehow, possibly by stubbing his toe.

Ha! I remember that fight. It was like Sakara was doing the 100 meter sprint there.

I have a soft spot for dudes like Sakara and Irvin. I hope Sakara takes this though. LEGIONARIUS!!!

I also have a soft spot for Irvin and Sakara. But I’ll be rooting for Irvin here.

Am sick for thinking that ko is both beautiful an hilarious?

by longevity on Mar 9, 2010 4:03 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

My favourite

is still the KO of Justin Eilers by Paul Buentello, where his eyes cross and his legs give out about three seconds later.

Kind of sad in the wake of Eilers’ death, but that KO was a thing of beauty and brutality.

Vera knocking out Eilers was pretty sweet too

lots of great stuff going on in the undercard too, thinking a lot of the main card stuff ends early and we get to see a good deal of the entire card.

Especially since it’s essentially free to many people; I wonder if I’ll be able to find it here in the UK, though…

Boo, I wanted them to bump up Guida he deserves to be on the main card heck the guy will probably have more people cheering for him than anyone else on the entire card.

by Raker on Mar 9, 2010 3:48 PM EST reply actions

Gugerty should get finished within the 1st round

I think we’ll be seeing Guida.

This fight should finish in the first as well so that should open up some time.

How did I end up on this bandwagon and why does everything say property of Chael Sonnen?

Which was the exact opposite of the last Fight Night.

Jones/Vera could go the distance.

Jones/Vera going the distance to me means Vera fights very cautiously

wow kongo's gettin a whole lotta love

buentellos worth a play here and so is vera i think jones is gonna run through him but ive been more wrong before

by milk72 on Mar 9, 2010 4:59 PM EST reply actions

Im a little surprised at the lines for junior and gonzaga too, thought it would be much closer

by merv on Mar 9, 2010 6:33 PM EST up reply actions

that one actually seems about right

the only way gonzaga wins that fight is if he takes JDS down and JDS’s ground game winds up sucking, which is a possibility since we’ve never ever seen it before

but he does train with the nogueria brothers who say hes good and that means something so i gotta believe hes at least gonna have the ability to avoid gonzagas takedowns and if he winds up on his back escape or limit the damage he recieves

i've got my ticketz!!

awesome month for fightz!! anyone else VERY excited????
