Can't think of any tips atm
But have fun with you and your dad, should be awesome!
Your UFC fight club membership gets you in to the weigh-in with a guest ahead of the general crowd. Absolutely, positively bring a camera because there will be fighters all over the place.
Get to the show a little early. The event I went to started earlier than the time listen on a ticket.
get to the Q&A
they usually have a Q&A session before the weigh-ins for fight club members. Definately fun stuff, I saw BJ Penn and Dana White for the last one. this also gets you priority seating for the weigh-ins.
UFC 107 was my first (and only currently) live event for me on any level. The thing I suggest is to not think its going to be like watching on tv. There is no commentary during the fight, which is something I never thought of, and the fighters look a lot quicker on tv than live, in my opinion. Unless you are up close, you are going to have to watch parts of the fights (typically ground action for me) on the screens.

From my exprience you need..
3 critically indespensable items: 1) Binoculars (pretty damn useful no matter where you sit.) 2) Digital cam 3. About 4 or 5 little “airplane” bottles of whiskey (each).
Now you’re set to have agood time.
Thanks for the input everyone most are saying yes show up early but how early half hour, hour or earlier

Don’t miss the weighins, I was at my hotel having to confirm reservations.
Bring binoculars, camera with spare batteries, and a high tolerance for bullshit (there will be a guy within fifteen feet of you in every direction yelling STAND UP AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN FAG!).
Don’t ask the ring girls to marry you more than once. First times gets you a laugh, third time security.
Bring a couple of permanent markers and a shirt/program for the fighters to sign.
If a super hot chick wearing a bad boy shirt asks you who you are going for, don’t say BJ Penn. Lie, and say Diego…she works for Bad Boy and will not give you free shirts if you tell her “I like Diego, but Penn is head and shoulders above the rest of LW blahdy blahdy blah…” Yeah cool story I know.
I'm the best ever. You're the most average in a minute.
And NEW UFC Welterweight Champion of the World.....Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy!
