MARQUARDT > MAIA > SONNEN > MARQUARDT
LEBEN > SAKARA > LEITES > MARQUARDT > KAMPMANN > RIVERA > GROVE > ROSHOLT > LEBEN

Notes:

-With Vitor Belfort hurt, Chael Sonnen unavailable, and Anderson Silva unwilling to fight a 205er, the UFC made the right decision inserting Demian Maia into the UFC 112 middleweight title fight.  Yeah, Maia has a recent loss to Nate Marquardt, who Sonnen just beat for a de facto title shot of his own.  But are we all really forgetting that Maia tooled Sonnen twelve-and-a-half months ago?

-I'd really like to see some combination of Marquardt, Michael Bisping, and Yushin Okami thrown together in the near future.  Any permutation are good bounce back fights for any of the three.  Bisping's been rumored to fight Dan Miller, which is also a solid fight.

-Chris Leben's made a pretty good living off of pissing on some poor guy's bed, hasn't he?

-I have a hunch that if both keep winning, we'll see Amir Sadollah square off with Mark Munoz within the next twelve months.  Mark Munoz is really awesome!

-Wanderlei Silva vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama is some sexy match making.

you got me there too. haha.

I saw Amir on the chart, and though, yeah, Fagan is right, that would be a good fight….

“and Anderson Silva unwilling to fight a 205er” . . . huhhh?
Soares, Silva was down with whatevera and whoever.

If Maia defeats Silva, then the fightlines would look even more interesting.

Yeah

I never heard anything about being unwilling to fight at 205, although bulking up in that short a time wouldn’t have been smart.

Personally I’d like to see Munoz take that step up in competition to the Leben range. IF he passes that test then throwing him in with Bisping/Miller loser would be great.

Munoz is already a beast of a wrestler and a powerhouse.

Nevermind his training with Blackhouse. Working with Silva and the Nogueria’s will help his stand up and sub defense in a major way too. Even if he can develop a standup game near the level of Jacare (he looked really good in his last fight) Munoz will be really tough to beat.

I am really interested in seeing how he develops. This could be a big year for him and for Palhares.

Only issue with Palhares I think is that he is a little short for the division. Against the longer fighters that’ll end up getting him killed.

Okami versus Bisping sounds like a good matchup.

I’d watch it. I’d also watch Bisping-Miller.

Gah, Leites beat Sakara and had a horse-pucky decision go against him.

Ribbit.

Am I the only one who doesn’t have a clue what the hell this is or how it works? Been seeing and ignoring these for over a year now

Take 10 min out of your day

and read this:

Then it should be fairly clear. Once you know whats happening in the diagram, its a useful visualization.
