UFC Fight Night 21 Results: Ross Pearson Grinds Dennis Siver Down
Ross Pearson beat Dennis Siver for three rounds, taking a unanimous 30-27 decision.
Two European fighters met to open UFC Fight Night 21 from North Carolina when German Dennis Siver met Brit Ross Pearson. They didn't follow EU protocol though as they immediately went after one another.
All three rounds featured tough back and forth exchanges. Initially standing action predominated in the fight, with Pearson probably outscoring Siver. But later in the fight several good ground exchanges saw both men get control positions and each time the other would escape.
But Ross Pearson out worked, out scored and wore out Dennis Siver, clearly winning all three rounds despite each fighter scoring many points and exchanging positional control.
Siver came in riding a four fight win streak in a series of low profile undercard fights. Pearson came in even hotter after winning The Ultimate Fighter Season 9 and his follow up fight.
Good things lie ahead for Ross Pearson as he goes 3-0 in the UFC.

Pearson really showed me something tonight. He always seemed game, but his technique is looking better and better. I’m looking forward to see who they step him up against.
Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
Haha, I wouldn’t call him that kind of grinder, he beat the shit out of Siver, almost finished.

Ever since I saw him work the Muay Thai clinch like a champ in his last fight I knew Pearson had a place in the UFC. He’s a game fighter, with some great technical skills. That won’t win him a championship, but if he keeps working, he’ll be cemented as a great addition to the division.
