Dan Hardy says he can become UFC world champion within a year:
"I know I can become a world champion within 12 months," he said.
"The thing about UFC is that, unlike boxing, a defeat doesn't put you right down at the end of the queue. This sport has many examples of fighters losing a number of bouts and then challenging for, and winning, a world title."
"My contest against GSP has tought me a lot and I will utilise all of the lessons I have learnt to make me an even better fighter."

I hope that he learned that to win a fight you have to…you know…fight.

Hard to do when you can’t avoid the takedowns.

As long as GSP and Fitch are in the picture.

Beg to differ. GSP has shown he can take down lifelong wrestlers.

no way, I don’t think he’ll even fight for a title again, give him Paulo thiago next, and I promise you thiago will put him to sleep.

If Shields enters the picture and Paulo continues to develop...
I agree Hardy will be moving down the rankings…
I like Hardy, but he is dreaming if he thinks he has any shot against GSP. Hardy was never even close in their fight – period. The best one could say about it was “Hardy sure can take an ass-whipping!”

I agree with him..
A solid year of intense training can close some of the gap.. Will it seal it up ?? Hell no.. But if it closes it enough to allow him to be offensive in any regard, he’ll have a great chance at winning on any given night.
The one thing he has that can’t be taught is a tremendous heart and spirit. Those are two factors that will oftentimes outweigh even a technical deficiency ..

Keith Jardine is now known as "The Dean of Antihistamine" because he is always sleeping early in fights..
What the next 12 months holds for Dan Hardy is a ton of very intriguing matchups against top UFC WWs – guys who he hasn’t fought. The UFC can make meaningful and interesting matchups with Hardy vs. guys like Fitch, Alves, Koscheck, Thiago, etc.
I would like to see him with Ellenberger.

That you’re hopefully outclassed and will never beat the guy?
Although detractors decry (MMA) as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally fucking awesome form of human cockfighting. -The Onion

Guys that fight GSP...
Should train with Lesnar, Cain or go straight to an Elite college wrestling team.
If they can stop a Lesnar, Cain, or elite wrestlers takedown, they should be able to stuff at least some of GSP’s.
Yeah...i mean...
For power. He’s so quick, he’s going to get a hold of you, and you have to be able to stuff some of those if you want to get anywhere.
Didn’t Alves train a bit with King Mo before his shot?
That doesn’t mean it didn’t help, I’m just trying to demonstrate that even after training with some of the best doesn’t mean you’ll be able to stop GSP’s takedowns (and Thiago already has pretty good takedown defense).
This guy here...
Is living in a dream world. He got a title shot by default. Got his ass kicked. Now has to fight all the guys he pissed off while smilling in there face. And guess what bro – GSP isn’t the only guy that knows how to wrestle at WW. Not that their as good as GSP, but damn there still way over par to your sub par sprawl & ground defense. His ego is writing checks his ass can’t cash.

If Kos loses to Daley or doesn't get the nod to fight GSP...
…I wouldn’t be surprised to see them book Koscheck./Hardy.
I don't get the Hardy hate
He’s a talented guy with an entertaining style, who can beat the lower level guys in the division and hang with most of the guys in the upper tier. GSP makes everybody look crappy. That doesn’t mean that Hardy is a scrub who’s going to get murdered every time he steps in the cage.
Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
thiago alves
would make Hardy look stupid IMO. Fitch would grind him out, and koscheck would do what GSP did to him minus the submission attempts i think
i hope kos vs hardy happens
Mostly for the smack talk. I love when Hardy called him a fraggle. Lol
"When i get in there, in his face ,pressin the action,I'm RUFF NECKIN'EM,I'm throwin him around,I'm punchin him,hes punchin me, I'm eatin his shots and I'm Blastin him back in the face he's not goin to be able to handle it ." - Chris Leben on how his fight with Anderson Silva is gonna go.

I think this fight will make him better.
Hardy doesn’t seem like the type of guy to blow his losses off. I think he’s going to train his ass off and come back even stronger. Will he beat GSP in a rematch? Probably not, but I’ve got plenty of confidence in Hardy’s upside.
