So, you know how the New York Giants actually play in New Jersey? (Yeah, the Jets do too, but c'mon. The Jets?) UFC 111 is kind of like the New York Giants of MMA shows. New Jersians (New Jerseyites?) would like to think this show is for them, but we all know better. Zuffa's showcasing this fight for the folks across the Hudson.
There's three scheduled dark fights before the card goes live on Spike. Matt Riddle vs Greg Soto, Rousimar Palhares vs. Tomasz Drwal, and Rodney Wallace vs. Jared Hamman. You can find the results after the break.
But do you really want to spoil yourselves? Since Zuffa started showing prelims on Spike, they've had to show prelims on that show, let alone reshowing Spike prelims on the pay-per-view. So, c'mon, show some self-restraint for once.

Matt Riddle defeats Greg Soto by disqualification (illegal upkick) at 1:30 of the third round.
Jared Hamman defeats Rodney Wallace by unanimous decision.
Rousimar Palhares defeats Tomasz Drwal by heel hook at 0:45 of the first round.

Soto just got DQd for KOing Riddle with an illegal upkick. It looked like riddle was ready to continue after the doctors examined him and everyone left the cage, but then riddle asked the ref something that caused him to bring the doctors back in and then waive off the fight. Very strange.

Dunno what you saw, but Riddle was pretty much stone cold unconscious. He eventually got back up, the ref had taken a point from Soto and was about to start it, and Riddle went “wait I don’t know what the f** happened, i can’t continue man” and the ref stopped it.
He had no clue where he was and it was a deserving stoppage or he’s the best actor of our generation.

Total speculation
Iole is saying on twitter that the upkick was blatant. Maybe Soto was frustrated that he was gonna lose his first pro fight.

Hamman UDs Wallace
Fun fight but very sloppy. Wallace dominated the first with big punches and slams, but gassed. He got hamman down in the second and third but hamman kept sweeping him and landing some very effective g’np. Judges scored it how I had it…29-28 Hamman

Palhares heelhooked Drwal in under a minute
Dtwal slipped and fell and that was the end. Palhares was slow to let go and Drwal was screaming…nasty.

that RP was pulling even after the ref started pulling him off. If so, RP should get punished for this. Holding a hellhook too long could seriously damage somebody.
Oh what could have been for Palhares had he held onto that heel hook against Henderson.
