Brock Lesnar on ESPN Says Frank Mir vs. Shane Carwin Is for "a Make Believe Belt"
"That was a business decision that the UFC had to make," Lesnar said. "Really, that belt is a make-believe belt to satisfy the company and to satisfy the people in the heavyweight division. I'm still the heavyweight champion."
"What's said outside of the Octagon is all purely entertainment," Lesnar said. "I dislike Frank -- there isn't an opponent in the Octagon that I really truly like. That's the battle of competition. I'm not a grudge-holder, but the first and foremost thing to me is, When I get in that Octagon I respect no one. And that's the bottom line for me."
"If Shane Carwin is a better version of Brock Lesnar, then the fight's over in the first 30 seconds -- I feel bad for Frank," Lesnar said. "Frank has a history of putting his foot in his mouth and let's just see what happens Saturday night. I'm anxious to fight either one of those opponents. Both of them I've got some history with. ... I can sit back and watch and let these guys fight over who wants to come after Brock Lesnar, the UFC heavyweight champion."

Oh I can’t wait for his “I was not impressed” moment. Hopefully no sponsors get caught in the crossfire.

Brock Lesnar
Will not be a champ by the end of the year. He is not a true Mixed Martial Artist.

He pinpoints why I don't like him
He comes off actually well in the interview, however “There isn’t an opponet I respect in the octagon that’s the bottom line”-Brock Lesnar
That sums it up for me why I hope he gets his ass kicked. Best case is Mir and Carwin have a war and Mir comes up victories, gets injured before he faces Brock, Shane steps up, ko’s Brock, then Frank fights Brock and submits him again. Then he retires 5-3.
dude, he says once he gets into the octagon he has no respect. a lot of fighters have that mentality so they can throw a punch.
i know for a fact he said he respects randy because he said so in the post fight interview after that fight.

how’s that? Brock has repeatedly said he doesn’t respect any of his opponents. Not just “in the octagon”. Way before this interview he said that. The only time he said he “respects” an opponent was when he was fighting Randy Couture but it was so obviously an act. He was trying to play it like it was all humble and honored to fight Randy Couture but it was so phony.
His actions during the Heath Herring fight pretty much sums up how Brock REALLY is imo.

Chin strip
Is this some sort of training camp exclusive facial hair thing? He never has it on fight night.
In slightly related mainstream media coverage news, NPR’s Morning Edition did a story on UFC 111 this morning.
