Madison Square Garden Giving Away Two Tickets to UFC 111 Viewing Party at Radio City Music Hall

Photo

The generous folks at Madison Square Garden continue their support for MMA. They're giving BloodyElbow.com readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the Saturday night event at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Now, this isn't just an occasion to watch UFC 111 in a nice venue. There's more to the story, including fighter appearances and autograph sessions:

Be sure to arrive early for an exclusive Q & A Session with UFC Fighters Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell, Matt "The Terror" Serra and Stephan Bonnar!! Doors will open at 7:15pm ET; Q&A Session with UFC fighters and host will begin at 8:00pm ET. UFC 111 Screening begins at 9:00pm ET, including the Spike TV preliminary fights and the entire live UFC 111 Pay-Per-View card.

UFC 111 Viewing Party Schedule:

7:15pm - 8:00pm ET: Doors open/Exclusive Chuck Liddell autograph session for the first 200 attendees
8:00pm - 9:00pm ET: Q&A session with Chuck Liddell, Matt Serra and hosts Bonnar and Ellis on stage
9:00pm - 10:00pm ET: UFC 111 on SPIKE TV prelims air live
10:00pm ET: Pay-Per-View screening begins/UFC 111 goes live!

So how do you win? That's where following us on Twitter comes in handy.

Between now and Thursday at 9 pm EST, send us a Tweet at @BloodyElbow telling us why you deserve the tickets. BE SURE to tag your Tweet with #MSG so we know not to miss it. The team here at BloodyElbow.com will review all of the Tweets and pick out the reader with the best reason. Only one entry and one entry-Tweet per Twitter account.

Remember, you have to be able to make it to NYC on Saturday, so only enter if your geographic location is in close enough proximity.

Without further ado, get to Tweeting and may the best reader win!

[UPDATE] from Luke Thomas: The winner is Adam B., a Brit in America for the very first time. Congratulations, Adam, and thanks to MSG for hooking this contest up!

I’ll add to what Luke was saying. But basically don’t bother applying for the tickets if you can’t make it. I hate nothing more than people wasting shit that they win in contests because they can’t go.

I’m kinda pissed that I have tickets to the actual event but no Chuck Liddell autograph. I mean if Serra can be at the weight ins and the Radio City Music Hall so could Chuck.

i bet

Chuck jumps in a car and heads to the live event after RCMH. This guy goes to every fight. Chuck even has afterparties on nights he doesn’t even fight

I know this is a newb question

and I am a twitter newb, but how exactly do i tweet to bloodyelbow? a direct message? on top of that my reason is fairly long and probably will exceed the character limit.

just type.

‘@bloodyelbow’ before your reason and add ‘#msg’ on the end.

and you’re entered… and yeah, I guess that’s the challenge in this contest, limiting your answer to 140 characters but still be able to convince people why they should pick you.

another dumb question

but does #msg have to be at the end? i had it at the beginning :S

that part doesn't matter.

it’s just a tag so people would know you’re entered. :)

Congratulations – but I thought you were from Canada?

by Chris Nelson on Mar 27, 2010 4:46 PM EDT up reply actions

Indeed; the details are slightly off. I’m a Canadian living in the UK (doing my PhD over there) and I just happened by pure chance to be in NYC this week, helping to lead the annual Geography Department field trip for 50 UK students. If it helps, I did marry a Brit, so that gives me honorary limey status.
