Quote of the Day 2: Roy Nelson Would Have Stripped Brock Lesnar's Title, Lesnar "Ducked" Carwin
"All I know is, other fighters have been stripped of the belt. So why can't (Lesnar) follow right along with everybody else?
"Lesnar didn't want to fight (Carwin). So he ducked Carwin; so now Frank gets him.
"I would have stripped him of his belt and left (Carwin) to fight for the real championship and not the TV championship."

even though it won't happen it's still funny
Serious question: If Nelson hypothetically won the belt, could you picture Dana trying to put the belt around his belly? It’d be like trying to wrap a rubber band around the Earth.
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

he won't have a championship belt
he will have a championship crown

Look another fighter making comments on Brock. Guess Roys in line for a title shot now lol worked for Carwin
"Frank Mir had a horseshoe up his ass. I told him a year ago. I pulled it out of him and I beat him over the head with it." Brock Lesnar
If Roy beats Struve, I think he gets Kongo, the loser of Carwin / Mir
or maybe becomes a filler fight for Dos Santos
They would not risk Dos Santos with a fight with Nelson. Nelson smothering JDS on the ground would cost the company a ton of money.
How did I end up on this bandwagon and why does everything say property of Chael Sonnen?
*Dont, Bleh
The UFC hasn’t seem like they really want to build JDS much, i mean they are getting on board now, but he had to KO a few people before they started to pay attention.

Sonnen>Roy
Goldie: "Michael Jordan-esque in his grappling skills is Travis Lutter."
Rogan: "No, no he's not. No."
Sonnen>anyone
no ones on sonnens level when it comes to trash talk. Try as he may, roy can’t trash talk his way to a title shot.

There isn’t one Burger King in Sonnen’s hood so Roy wouldn’t last five minutes there.

LOL Sonnen is a freshman compared to Toney.
Ricky Hatton came closer to beating Manny Pacquiao than Marquez did to beating Floyd.

So the whole illness thing was just a smokescreen to duck Carwin?

I think Lesnar purposefully put a hole in his intestine and let his bowels seep into his body just to duck Carwin!!
^ Sounds like proof that Lesnar is full of shit...

Definitely, why can others not see the truth that the great Roy Nelson has shown us?
by Polyhedron on Mar 23, 2010 3:59 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
absolutely not
but anybody else would of been stripped by now. That’s what I was referring to, I guess I could of made that more clear.

Anderson Silva hasnt defended since April 09
was he stripped?
How about Penn? Lightweight wasnt defended from May 08 to August 09 was he stripped?
GSP and Brock last defended their titles at UFC 100 the only difference is GSP is getting ready too while Brock is waiting out the winner of Mir/Carwin.
it’s a different situation with those Champions as they had no worthy competition and had to wait for contenders to emerge while at HW there are a long list of worthy contenders that will test brock
bs
There were challenges at lw, Penn chose to go up and test GSP.
But your acting like Brock could have defended the title and chose not to. Up until January no one even knew if Lesnar was gonna fight again and now he has to put back on weight and get back in too fighting shape.
and actually same with Silva
maybe he didnt have any competetion right after the Leites fight but after he fought Griffin he could have fought
Dan Henderson – just ko’d Bisping at UFC 100
Nate Marquardt – just ko’d Maia at 102
Vitor Belfort – just ko’d Franklin at 103
Yushin Okami – on a 3 fight winning streak
any 4 of those were worthy competetion but Silva had the “elbow deal” and so he wasnt able to defend until 112.
when Mir had his motorcycle accident, they made an interim title. only after 14 months and still not being recovered did they strip his title

and he’s also not right about stipping the title. Mir-Carwin is still for the interim title. When Brock comes back, he’ll have been out a year, which does not require stripping the belt, just and interim title
Goldie: "Michael Jordan-esque in his grappling skills is Travis Lutter."
Rogan: "No, no he's not. No."
Yeah I guess your right, I hate the whole “interim” shit. I believe that a fighter should get first crack when they come back but should non-the-less be stripped of their title.
"I fight because I can’t sing, I can’t dance, and it beats working all day. Now ask me a question that doesn’t sound so fucking stupid." – Phil Baroni
i guess the idea is that if a guy doesn’t actually lose a match, he doesn’t lose his belt unless he’s out for significantly more than a year. then, instead of just having guys sort out contendership while the champ is out, you create an interim belt so you can sell more title fights and make more money.
i agree with you that it’s annoying, but it’s a business decision. we may know where the fighters stand regardless of the belt situation, but not everyone does

Also, I found the TV championship reference kind of odd. It seems like Nelson is implying Carwin and Mir are fighting for some lesser title when they’re essentially fighting for the number one contendership. Whoever wins this fight will face Brock in the end, and if Carwin doesn’t win he probably shouldn’t have been fighting for a title anyways.
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

u watch seagals cop show?
i dont know if id ever admit to that
That show is ultimate bad ass...
Seagal is busting crooks and using “magic ninja bad-guy-detecting eyes” lol… I saw a couple episodes and they were amusing.
In one episode they pulled over an old couple (probably around 65) who was driving down the freeway with their trunk and rear passenger door wide open.
The old lady in the passenger seat was giving the cops the finger as they pulled them over.
She apologized and said she was pissed off because everbody was honking at them and they didn’t know why.
That is the best Regal has ever looked. Got to be air brushed.

yea whoever said it was right Roy is a real risky fight for JDS. Imagine? There golden boy the next knockout champ Brazilian Mike Tyson beaten by this fat bastard. Hhaha/
Jds would be embarrassed by Nelson
Big country tko by countra-fix rd 1. We learned Jds’s td defense is not world class in the Napao fight. Dana would hate Roy even more.
"When i get in there, in his face ,pressin the action,I'm RUFF NECKIN'EM,I'm throwin him around,I'm punchin him,hes punchin me, I'm eatin his shots and I'm Blastin him back in the face he's not goin to be able to handle it ." - Chris Leben on how his fight with Anderson Silva is gonna go.

we learned that when?
I'm like PacMan fightin you silly kids... throw ya Hatton the ring, and get knocked outlike Ricky did.
lol.
Roy can't believe all of the backlash from his innocent comment

How did I end up on this bandwagon and why does everything say property of Chael Sonnen?
I imagine Roy has a lot of experience stirring pots. And then drinking their contents in one gulp.

oh right Roy, I like you; but that was about the dumbest comment I’ve seen in a good while
Brock cannot duck someone for very long first of all since he is the champ; so Carwin could just earn another title shot soon enough. Not to mention that he had a freakin medical issue; not exactly like he was whining about a sore shoulder or something.
