I'd tell you what I'll be photographing
But you’d have a fit ;)

I’ll be at Radio City Music Hall watching it on the largest HD screen that the UFC has ever been on.
Funny, tickets to that showing are only $25. Anyone know how much tickets will cost at the movie theaters that are showing this card? If it’s a normal movie ticket price, that just sounds like a great deal as opposed to paying 45 bucks to watch it at home.

$21 in Wisconsin
Well, $20 + $1 service charge
I'll be trying to go to this.
I get in to New York on Thursday, so I’ll have to see if there are still tickets available then. If anyone is up for meeting for a beer before hand, let’s hook it up!

Mir says Fedor fights cans
Fedor fights with no belt Werdum who has fought good fighters
Mir fights Carwin for belt who fought cans
uh...huh...

I need to put some dough on Fitch
That way I can be pleased whatever the outcome.
Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
Hmm, people seem to be making some rather bold statements.

Also,
is it just me, or is that a serious contender for weakest undercard of the year honors?
Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
i'm a mark
but I think it’s a fairly stacked undercard:
Pelligrino vs Camoes — the winner will be just beneath the contender rung at 155
Wallace vs Hamman — two once highly touted prospects will be fighting to stay in the UFC, always fun
Palhares vs Drwal — Palahres has only lost to Henderson in the UFC and Drwal is on a three fight win streak. The winner of this one should be main carding it in no time
Riddle vs Soto — TUF vet Riddle is promising but coming off a loss and facing an undefeated prospect. should be interesting.

That, plus in reality both the Diaz-Markham and Almeida-Brown fights are “undercard” fights. We’re just guaranteed to get those free as well. That’s 7 guaranteed fights that are all really great matchups. Anything beyond those 7 we get to see is gravy.
The only annoying thing is when we see reaired prelim fights twice in one night...
That really grinds my gears…
Is it just me, or is it completely short-sighted to complain about a weak undercard (that isn’t even that weak, as Nate explains) when the main card is one of the best in recent memory?
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

“GSP is such a nice guy the only way he’d be cast as a villain was if he were to fight Jesus Christ,” he says. “He wouldn’t rise to bait like Davis did, so only a fool would waste energy trying. That doesn’t mean I haven’t got a game plan. People tell me he is invincible. I’ve never come across anyone I see as invincible. The more I study someone, the more weaknesses I see. From a fan’s point of view GSP looks amazing. But it’s my job to read the body language, study the moves, make a game plan. I have the plan.”
Pahlares via leglock. AGAIN. On the undercard. AGAIN. Highly underrated. AGAIN.
The guy hits one roadblock and drops a decision to an allegedly-greased-up veteran Hendo, and it’s like he never existed. Come on Zuffa, put this guy against the other contenders.
Sure glad Lesnar got his shit straightened out.

Agreed that Palhares is a bit underrated, but Hendo didn’t need grease to beat him. I don’t know where you heard that from but Brazilians will say anything to cover their losses so I wouldn’t take it as gospel.
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

Palahres and Black House both claimed his ankles were greasy, and that noone ever slips out of Rousy’s leglocks the way Hendo was in their fight.
Sure glad Lesnar got his shit straightened out.
That sounds weird.
Not sure what to think about that, but I’ve heard the “so-and-so is a dirty cheating greaser” one too many times to take it seriously. If I remember correctly most of that fight was decided on the feet though, right?
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

That fight was decided by Hendo staying off the ground at all costs. Palhares kept trying for the takedown and Hendo kept moving back, sprawling, and everytime Rousimar got the takedown and slapped on a heelhook, Hendo would wrench it free.
It was pretty obvious Hendo just wanted no part of Rous’ ground game. And personally, if I was gonna get locked in a cage with Rous, I would vaseline the shit out of my ankles.
Sure glad Lesnar got his shit straightened out.
As much as I am a huge GSP fan, I wouldn’t have made Hardy that big of an underdog…. or maybe I’m buying into the hype just a little bit.
i've picked against hardy every single fight he's had in the ufc
nothing personal against him but if he makes me go 0-4 im gonna eat my own head

Some strange odds piling up here
Vegas is giving Alves incredible points for his recent finishes and Fitches un-finshes which I think is a mistake. Fitch is a grinder and that is what it takes to beat Alves.
Don’t believe for one minute that GSP will stand for long with Hardy. He is well aware of the danger there and when he talks about dictating the pace he is not talking about doing so on the feet.
Which Mir will show up to fight Carwin?. Hard to say, but if its the same one that fought Big Nog and Kongo. Carwins fight with Gonzaga could spell the outcome fairly well. Mir is a sharper, faster version of Gonzaga, with a better chin.
And I can tell you first hand that Nate Diaz is looking very good at 170. I think he is about where his brother was at 170 in the UFC. Certainly enough to beat Markham and many middle tier 170ers. Might have trouble with the top guys though.
All the rest look like they will be competitive, tough fights to call.
I think the odds for Alves reflect the fact that he’s a bad matchup for Fitch. Fitch will be hard pressed to take Alves down with any regularity, and will have an even harder time keeping him there. On the feet, Alves has the clear advantage, and he showed he has great cardio while going 5 rounds vs. GSP. Fitch will have to be better than he’s ever been to take Alves this time around.
Mir is a lot better actually.
Gonzaga has only submitted cans in MMA, and hasn’t shown much of a bottom game at all. His striking is also very wild and sloppy, although he make up for it some with his power. Mir is good off of his back, has submitted good competition, and has ever-improving stand-up.
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

good card
I love March and April when it comes to MMA
"On March 27th GSP is gonna have to change his name to GPS, so he knows where he is."
-Dan Hardy
even though it won't happen it's still funny
Nate Diaz sucks
If he try’s to stand with Rory like he did with Gray I think Rory gets him. Now on the ground Rory’s got a better chance of finding a snowball in hell than hanging with Nate. But if Diaz try’s to bang I don’t think he wins this one
