I don't like PBF and I hope he loses

But the man will be known as one of the greatest of all time. Listening to him talk, you can tell he has worked very hard to cultivate that persona. Most of his words are chosen very carefully. This is a man who knows what he’s doing. He can dodge Pac and still pull in record buys.

I think we need to put both these guys in a gi and see what happens.

Motherfucking this!^

I'm gonna make a bold prediction here and say Cain "pillowhands" (as some of you have called him) lol Velasquez catches Nog right on the chin and finishes via strikes on the ground. Nog looked good against an old Randy. It didn't show me much. We’ll see.

Hey BE can we trash talk boxers?

If not I will keep it shor and sweet., Mayweather is a punk for not takling the pacquio fight. Plus mosely looks like an old man already.

by #1 piggy on Mar 2, 2010 6:11 PM EST reply actions

Yeah I think Mosley already looks defeated mentally.

Floyd was roasting on him the whole time, and instead of taking the high road, Mosley played right back into it. And not in a good way. It was like Shane started trash talking back and punk Floyd. He would just Floyd talk over him and punk him.

Let's not start this again

Pacman turned down the fight friend for a weak excuse, I don’t care what way the Pac apologists and Mayweather haters try to spin it.

I dont think Pac;s excuse was weak, im proud of him for not doing the stupid blood tests and being Floyed’ bitch.

And this is what I mean by apologists

Point blank he wouldn’t take a blood test 14 days before a fight and Floyd agreed to EVERYTHING Pacman’s camp put in front of him including a million dollars for every pound he came in over weight. Like it’s so fucking extreme to ask for strict testing in a profession where people get popped all the time whether they’ve been caught before or not.

by Fake Emcee on Mar 2, 2010 9:58 PM EST up reply actions

P.S.

It’s called the negotiation process people seriously to act like one fighter having a stipulation for another is crazy is well…crazy. Mosley said he’d take whatever test Floyd wanted him to and Mosleys a guy thats actually used performance enhancers before, but he’d take the test not because it makes him Floyd’s bitch or any silly line of reasoning like that, it’s because he actually wants the fight. But hooray for Pacman and his made up moral victory!

First off, calm the fuck down dude, i dont care if you agree with me or not, im just saying that im proud for Pacman for not doing what Floyed wanted.

Also, its the athletic commisions job to do drug testing, not Floyed’s, and the blood test is not gana find any drugs in someones system any better then urin, and if it does, its not by much.

And thank you, a hooray for Pacman is always nice to hear!!=]

Yet if Floyd didn’t do what Manny wanted, people would hate on him for it and call him a coward .. oh wait.

Double standards are fun, aren’t they?

Oh, and you obviously haven’t heard of HGH. Blood tests done by the USADA is specifically done to find things such as that. You’re kidding yourself if you think blood tests don’t find anything that urine tests couldn’t find.

Don't tell me to calm down dammit this is srs bizness!

Seriously though I am calm broseph, it just seems like sometimes you have to aggressively present your ideas to people in order to get it through their head cause everyone else is living in the land of lollipops and goodwill. And actually yes, a blood test administered frequently will be that much more effective in spotting certain doping agents, or it might just deter the guy away from doping in the first place.

And if the athletic commision isn’t doing as effective of a job as it could be doing in this day and age then obviously some stricter methods should be considered, like I’ve said before Moslely got away with it for who knows how long without the commision finding out.

agreed, Im pretty sure mayweather knew he would have never agreed to it,

I think mayweather if flat out scared to blemish his perfect record.,

by #1 piggy on Mar 2, 2010 10:39 PM EST up reply actions

Oh com'n son

How would Floyd possibly know that in advance, especially considering that the blood testing had been apart of the negotiations since the very beginning and it wasn’t until Floyd agreed to all of their demands that it all the sudden became an issue. I can’t believe this, it’s useless trying to talk objectively about Floyd Mayweather with people cause their hatred is too strong for them to see the situation without bias.

when was the last time there was a press conference or weigh-in in boxing where a pushing/shoving match didn’t ensue? it seems so fabricated and contrived, i really don’t know why it still gets attn.

by mo dogg on Mar 2, 2010 6:14 PM EST reply actions

Much of the time that is the case. But there is a loooong history between Floyd and Shane and they genuinely do not like each other. So hard to say if it was all planned, partially planned or totally legit.

It's contrived. At least this one looks that way.

Now, THIS on the other hand, looks real.

Im suprised mayweather didnt start trash talking mma

Anyone who trash talks it so much is really worried it is taking over. How many time do u see mma fighters trash talking boxing? If anything they are only responding back to what someone said.

I like that BE reports major boxing news.

I don’t think I’ve been on Bad Left Hook and seen much if any MMA news. Like lets take Cain Velasquez’ performance against Big Nog for example. I mean it was a beautiful KO. I kinda thought they would have at least posted about it. No biggie, just sayin…

I'm gonna make a bold prediction here and say Cain "pillowhands" (as some of you have called him) lol Velasquez catches Nog right on the chin and finishes via strikes on the ground. Nog looked good against an old Randy. It didn't show me much. We’ll see.

Scott (site manager of BLH) is one of my absolute closest friends. I’ve talked about it before but I grew up with the guy and was best man in the guys wedding last year…etc. He does reference MMA and is very vocal that no war between the two sports exists in his mind.

He is a bit handcuffed by the fact that the site is basically just he and Brickhaus writing. He doesn’t have the same luxury as BE of having a staff of 12 guys who can share the duties of posting, moderating, news hounding..etc. I mean, if it came down to a lack of staff here and went back to just Luke, Nate and I…Bloody Elbow would likely not have the time to have people post about any sport outside of MMA

It’s kinda crazy though, right? I mean you would think the Boxing blog would have way more resources than the MMA blog. Scott does a ridonkulous good job on that blog and I recommend it to my boxing buddies like alll the time but it would be cool to see a little more cross ref.

I'm gonna make a bold prediction here and say Cain "pillowhands" (as some of you have called him) lol Velasquez catches Nog right on the chin and finishes via strikes on the ground. Nog looked good against an old Randy. It didn't show me much. We’ll see.
