That photoshop stuff by Hardy WAS funny and a wish of death IS far worse that Davis having his apparently very fragile masculinity hurt. People get upset by “political correctness” but think it’s okay for a grown ass man to act like a child and wish death on someone because his tenuous grasp on his sexuality was called in to question. This isn’t a case of PC, this is a case of two idiots, acting like idiots. Result? Idiotic situation posing as worthy news.
That photo is perfect for just such a magazine cover though. I say that as a gayist.

taking any fighters names out of the equation, the issue has simply become “trash talk gone to far”. “aids, kill, death, gay…” are all recent terms used in trash talk. you can not be a sport on ESPN and use terms like these in the context they are used. no individual fighters need reprimanded, there is alot of emotion in this sport. Ali was one of the biggest trash talkers but always kept it clean and in relatively good humor (now someone can find some quotes to prove me wrong). but there needs to be a re-educating for all UFC fighters what is acceptable and what isnt. the standard has slipped.
I'm old school hating Lesnar, I've been hating Lesnar since '08
I generally agree…but if you think Ali was tasteful and civil…well, ask Joe Frazier! To this day that man thinks ali is an ass for saying what he said. Mean mean stuff…LEGENDARY fights. But here is another point, there will only ever by one Ali…
Now, if these guy would insult each other in rhyme? No controversy.

There’s only a few unwritten rules for smack talk. Hardy didn’t break them posting stuff that mocks another man’s masculinity. Yeah it wasn’t PC by any stretch and I’m sure to groups like GLAD it crosses the line. Talking about causing death to someone else is a fine line. Using expression in hyperbole like “When I get in that cage I’m going to kill him!” which is different then what Mir and to a lesser extent what Davis said. Wishing and Hoping death on someone is more of a defeated statement that just makes the person seam petty and is the smack talkers equivalent to waiving a white flag.
That’s a bingo.
Also, it’s been what? Close to a year since he fought Hardy? How are you still angry about that loss?

Wishing someone dies from AIDs isn't worse than having fans Pshop someone?

Dr. Dre is the shorter fatter one. That’s Ed Lover. To respond to your reply…Yes I do think wishing someone would die is worse then photoshoping. That was the point of my post, besides crossing the line it is a remark that basically admits defeat in the realm of shit talking.
Damn how could I have mixed that up.
I guess I’m still recovering from this weekend, and you’re correct.

It's clear Hardy broke Davis.
You have to be the man... you have to be very, like, alpha male with her. You know? Decide what you do and everything. So, show her who's the boss, you know? - GSP
i find the intense homophobia within the mma community (displayed by both fighters and fans) unacceptable
but i guess that’s what you gotta do if you’re sexually insecure and rolling around with a sweaty guy who presses his abs against your cheek.
Go big red!

I think the fact that these guys are willing to roll around on the mat with other guys is the opposite of insecurity. Are they going to get mad when someone calls insinuates that they’re gay? Yes, its not the fact that they’re being insulted about liking men its the association with gay men as being less masculine.
If it was a different world there wouldn’t be an association will gay men and weakness, along with women and weakness. This isn’t a perfect world, I don’t think anyone was outright bashing gay people making the photoshop…Who’s really the homophobe? The person that made the photoshopped picture or the person that gets mad about having his image pasted in a shower with other naked men?
I’m sure Hardy is plenty happy about that picture. Marcus Davis though? He’s probably a little angry.

Someone needs to explain to Marcus how the modern internet works...
Those words are up for life too…
Someone might want to ask Davis what exactly is wrong with being a homosexual.
Furthermore, Davis has got no banter whatsoever. Getting mortally offended at someone making fun out of you? Most of us got over that in secondary school.

Dark & bad taste??
I thought he was Irish— how can he hate Guinness??
Blackout612- "Wuts teh UFC?"
Ubernoober- "It like two guy who just stand and swing for fence and try to knock each other shit out it awesome"
This tops Mir
Wow, hopefully the UFC will come down harder on Hardy than Mir. I’ve always thought Davis was a jerk.
