It was for dramatic effect . I really just don’t care for his personality, the lies he tells,the way he fights,the sound of his voice, the slightly racist things he says or his over inflated view of his hand speed. Besides that I think he is super cool.

Interesting, but Matt’s style was only part of it. Matt rubbed a lot of follks the wrong way and when the chance came, they dumped him. His style certainly was part of it, but he would complain in the cage, he complained at press conferences, he spent a fair amount of time complaining and it got to people.
Even when he cornered Penn in the first GSP fight, he was yapping at Rogan on the mic. That stuff does not endear you to those around you.
sounds like everyone is just butt hurt because Dana makes a lot of money, and hates these 4 people. Chael kept it classy haha. This is like interviewing hitler about his views on the Jewish population, its going to sound biased and slightly insane… like josh gross

What a waste of time...More B*tching about nothing.
He was cut because he was probably a ‘boring’ fighter to watch. So what? He wasn’t banned from fighting elsewhere. There were other opportunities out there and he took them; Matt fought on Cage Rage, IFL, Affliction an now Strikefore.
So what exactly is Matt’s beef? He signed a contract, like many other fighters that stipulates they can be cut at anytime or if certain terms are violated in the contract. So what is the problem? Yes, the UFC may have given a piss-poor excuse for cutting him, but that’s just Public Relations BS. He was cut legally, and now he’s [or his documentary] ‘bitching’ about it.
PLEASE, STOP! Several guys have been cut because they are boring to watch. I don’t know how many fighters have been cut after a win after their last fight though. Nevertheless, correct me if I’m wrong, I didn’t notice a huge outcry from the fans demanding Matt be put on an upcoming card.
p.s. Matt is Chael ’s friend/Coach.

I always thought that Gross wanted the same spotlight the Dana has. Hunt just annoys me everytime I listen to her. I really like Jeff, he seems the most genuine. What make me laugh is that people are still thinking that Dana should be a saint. He’s a promoter and he’s the best in MMA. Everyone thinks that he should be a certain way because he might hurt our precious baby mma, but he’s taken to places that Atencio and Coker could never take it. Once deep into mainstream then there might not be a place for him, but thats a long time from now and if they didn’t want to push Lindland then who cares. If they didn’t think that he would help selling their product then why would they care to keep him around. Why do people continue to think that the UFC should be fair and just with everyone even if they crap all over their product. Its a business run by people that want to make money.
Notions of chance and fate are the preoccupation of men engaged in rash undertakings.

Whats with the whole image of Dana being drunk on power and in total control of the entire company. As if his word decided every decision in the UFC. Please.
I laughed out loud at the idea that Dana checks sherdog every day. Thats a plug for the company if I ever heard one…

He likes to take a lot of swipes at Hunt and Rossen for a guy who never reads the site and has no idea what’s going on on the site.
Used to do the same when Gross was there.

What they neglect to mention is that Matt did more than wear a T-shirt.
He set up a autograph booth with that gambling sponsor’s name plastered all over it right in the middle of the MGM Grand, and the MGM Grand management was not amused. Needless to say, the UFC at the time could ill afford to piss off their partners who provided them with a venue and a nice fat lump sum payment.
Also, what’s up with posting all this stuff now?
This documentary was made five years ago. Most of the stuff they are talking about is ridiculously out of date.

You can hardly argue he’s the best 85er and only being kept out of the UFC because of politics when he’s lost two of his last three, Belfort shoved his fist through his face and out the back of his head, and Jacare subbed his ass pretty effortlessly.

dfw jr – you know whats funny? ivan has fought for me about 6 times and i have had plenty of interaction with him at the weigh ins and back stage after fights and he couldnt have been a nicer guy. everyone knows i have had beefs with and butted heads with fighters but NEVER ivan. every time we saw each other he was a complete gentleman and always very appreciative. very weird!!!!
no, i don’t know anyone who has seen this movie. the producer is a douche and was texting me 50 times a day to try and piss me off.
