Dream.13 Preview: Josh Barnett Is in Japan
"I’ve known about him as a possibility for maybe two weeks. He hasn’t had much time to prepare. Less than me maybe," said Barnett in Japan. "He’s a real tough guy. Fighting to him isn’t a real big deal. I’m glad he was willing to step up and take the fight."Josh Barnett's press conference for DREAM.13 (March.22.2010 / Yokohama Arena, Japan). vs. Mighty Mo.
"The ones that will fight me," he said of which opponents he’d like Dream to match him up with.
"There’s always good opponents here and even if they’re not technically active in Dream they can always make lots of match-ups possible."
"Of course I can use more belts," he said when asked about the situation, but added, "It’s usually not so much about the belt. It’s who you defeat and who you defend it against.
"I know I’m gonna bring the best that I can to the ring and I’ll fight like a champion."

this is a pity comment
since people seem to be aggressively ignoring Barnett now.

Still a big fan of Barnett
Wish he wasn’t an idiot, but I still love to see him fight and listen to him talk. He’s still top 10 HW in my opinion, maybe top 5

I'm excited Josh is back fighting
I kind of have to put the whole steroid thing aside…which I’m used to as a fan of Japanese MMA.
Wish it had been a more compelling opponent, but Barnett back in the game means bigger fights are down the road.
Looked like he was eating steroids at the beginning of the video…

BE Should have a policy against giving free publicity to cheaters and other people who make the sport worse.
This is a silly thing to say
Plenty of fighters who’ve been popped for steroids have been written about on this site.
Personally, I’m looking forward to Barnett getting back into the groove of things, even though it’s not a top-level opponent. Hopefully he’ll clean up his act, come back to the States and take on Fedor or Overeem.
Get rid of the ramp!
I totally agree...
Except “Plenty of fighters” were not as idiotic to have been popped repeatedly (3 times If i remember correctly). Not to mention… his actions alone was responsible for the whole overthrowing of a promotion.
