"Reports of Fedor Emelianenko fighting Hidehiko Yoshida are 'a joke,' according to M-1. Evgeni Kogan tells SI it's not happening."

NOW I am outraged! HE won’t even fight Yoshida! Just trying to pad his record against cans, M-1 is such a joke!

The problem is that the previous actions by those involved in the rumor made the rumor seem plausible. That should be telling those people something about the way they operate or at least they way people perceive them and maybe they need to change something to remedy that.
Just BE.

I hated the idea of Fedor fighting Yoshida, but I wasn’t going to get my panties in a twist about it until I heard something more definitive.
I wasn't surprised or angry...
I just thought yep, that sounds like Fedor.
What’s the fun of that? Maybe the real lesson is that people shouldn’t get their panties in a wad just because other people comment on a rumor or even make fun of the people involved in the rumor? I know that this is serious business and all but people need to chill out and just enjoy the ride, we aren’t affecting the sport we are just discussing stories posted on a blog.
Didn't take this seriously for a second
So much stuff make it on to BE that turn out to be untrue that I’m starting to develop “sensationalist headline blindness”.
That's why I love Kid Nate
I really enjoy his take on things (and agree with a good many of them) and he has mastered the art of yellow journalism’s scare headlines. Awesome for whipping the fanboys into a frenzy, and driving up traffic.
If you’ve read Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers, it’s obviously Nate is close to mastering his craft.
why thanks
I actually felt a little guilty about that one last night but i couldn’t resist.

I notice how much you’ve elevated your game with Is Fedor Emelianenko’s Management “a Monster” That “Demands Blood”?
they actually wrote me a nice note
thanking me for being even handed with that one.

I’m going to need something to get mad at and I need it right now. If not at Fedor’s mgmt then BE can come up with something. I don’t wanna go punchdancing for no reason.

Perhaps Fedor and his management are the ones circulating the rumours
First the talk about interest in the UFC, and now this about a week later. Perhaps M-1 is trying to show Strikeforce how much interest there is in Fedor, and how many options they have available.
Or, maybe it’s all just bad luck, bad timing, and rumours…
this was just another way for blog sites to downplay fedor
kinda seemeed like bull from the begining
I wish...
People would quit crying about M1.
Fedor makes his money and by all accounts is happy. He puts on a great show no matter who he fights. It’s a little creepy how fans want to meat grind fighters into the UFC. Sure, he’d make a bit more money, but they don’t exactly treat fighters so well unless they are winning. Not that Fedor wouldn’t win, and win big but let the guy make his own fate.

Isn't that ironic.
You wish people would quit crying about M-1 while at the exact same time your doing a little whining about the UFC.
Just BE.
they don’t exactly treat fighters so well unless they are winning
I think that applies to players in team sports as well and pretty much every athlete as ell. Do you cry for every NFL player that gets cut? Unless you are winning or contributing, you don’t make the cut. Crap. It even happens in Golf and Tennis. If you consistently perform terribly, you don’t participate.
In the world of competetive sprorts, you have to remain competetive if you want to continue competing…
As far as Fedor goes… I could care less whether or not Fedor joins the UFC,…
It's fine
if Fedor wants to just put on a “great show” fighting cans, however he cannot expect to be, or have his promotion call him the best or greatest.
If you won’t defend the crown you don’t deserve the crown.
Being the GOAT is about being the best against the toughest competition, something Fedor has been unwilling to do for many years now.
