Sounds like she got Hieron’d (told she would get a title shot and then told to fight someone else). If that’s the case, I’d love to know what more deserving challenger Strikeforce has in the wings for Cyborg.
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

They don’t have anything. Gina and Marloes both got beat decisively and those are her only challengers. There are upcoming prospects like Olsen and Dandios but they are too inexperience.
Yeah, I was being snide. Strikeforce can’t afford to mess with the one decent challenger they have left for their champion.

I have to wonder if she did get Hieron’d. While Strikeforce hasn’t always treated their fighters the best, I just can’t imagine Strikeforce wanting anyone else but Toughill to fight Cyborg. As far as I can tell, Strikeforce is pretty much the best place for exposure (and at times, money) for female fighters.

The 145 division died before it even got started
At least Cyborg can start that family she has been talking about. There are literally no challengers other than Gina, Marloes, and Erin. Every other girl at 145 is either too inexperienced or they totally suck.
Damn, that's weak
Honestly, Toughill is the only girl I see being able to contend with Cyborg in the striking game, physically & technically

full quote…
U R hearing it first: I will no longer b fighting 4 Strikeforce. Its a personal decision tht I mde & one tht was NOT made in haste, trust me. Ill b doin interviews in cming days tht explain “WHY” I have made this hard decision. Cant subject myself 2 wht has bn going on (any longer) Retiring? Dunno, but am on verge due …to basic issues like: NOT being able FIGHT!!! I am getting zero return for all I have put in…DONE.
It sucks to hear
She’s a great fighter, but her attitude just rubs me the wrong way.

@deowade
Now I am even more confused over what is going on.
Update: Strikeforce has confirmed with MMARising.com that Toughill was in final negotiations to appear on the undercard of Strikeforce: Nashville on April 17th, but opted not to compete.

seems like a pay dispute
she could be bluffing but what she gona do there is no market forwomen mma fighters outside of sf in america
Seems like
Her not fighting has less to do with Strikeforce and more to do with her bad luck. She gets injured and has to drop out of the fight with Coenen, then FCF failed to find her an opponent. Not sure why she leaves Strikeforce in final negotiations to be on the Nashville card.
I hope it’s not because she’s mad about fighting on the undercard…
If it was going to be on the undercard I’m sure it would have definitely been the swing match, meaning it would have had a pretty good chance of being on CBS.
I'm illiterate
You’re right. I misread it and assumed it would be against Cyborg.
