Handful of good fights, but no great fights on this card.
Fernandes/Hansen should be fun though.
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

Kikuno vs Hironaka
should be a good one. I’m a big Hironaka fan, but I’ll be rooting for Kikuno since he’s the young and up and coming fighter.
Nakamura vs Chonan is interesting too — we’ll see if Nakamura will amount to anything or not. Chonan is a tough dude.
And Dida is a good welcome back test for Noons. Sad to see Dida as a comeback fight, I thought he had potential.

is Jimmy ambriz on this card just cause of the exposure he got from bring lashleys rumored opponent?
by kanodogg on Mar 15, 2010 10:33 AM EDT via mobile reply actions
No...
He’s on the card because they needed someone over 300 lbs. for Minowa to fight and he’s (presumably) fairly inexpensive.

There are only a select few fighters in the world worthy of challenging the SuperHluk champ. The Titan is an athlete of that caliber.

I feel bad for that guy knowing that he’s likely to drop a work against a guy that could easily make MW while having those terrible tattoos.

Dream Cards
Tend to be some of the most entertaining cards in MMA. Even when the fighters aren’t in the Top 10 of their divisions. Don’t knock it until you try it, son.

that’s the great thing about Dream cards, they put on fights that are entertaining. Some answer questions for their divisions, but most don’t and these cards are always great to watch. I miss the days when every fight had to ‘mean’ something and now thanks to dream they don’t have to and I can watch awesome fights.
Come to think of it, it seems that fights between the 11-20 guys are better than the fights between the 10-1 guys since they are fighting to get somewhere and not fighting to protect their leads.

damn not having an edit option.
when I said, “I miss the days when every fight had to ‘mean’ something” I actually meant, “I miss the days when every fight didn’t have to mean something.”

Hideo Tokoro is the poster child for this sentiment

He’s not even in SBN’s Top 25, and He’ll probably never break into the Top 15. But gotdamnit, he’s fun to watch.
