As always, recorded before I did my show tonight. Thanks to Kevin and Rock for having me on. More to come.

The statement that it was all about the heavyweights from the 60s to the 90s is not true. Haglar, Hearns, Leonard, Duran…those guys did huge business.

I wouldn't spend energy dissecting these

I’m posting these for fun. Kevin and Rock are casual combat sports fans.

I tried the stuff with the bottle (back in the 90s). I stopped after a while because it hurt more than anything else, I guess you need to do it for a very long time before getting any positive results.

Rolling bottles over your shin is actually a good way to cripple yourself. It can deform the bone in a very bad way. I don’t recommend it, unless you don’t need your legs.
The right way to condition your shins is to kick the heavy bag, tire or something like that.
The Wollf’s Law explains the whole process pretty clearly:

…bone in a healthy person or animal will adapt to the loads it is placed under. If loading on a particular bone increases, the bone will remodel itself over time to become stronger to resist that sort of loading. The internal architecture of the trabeculae undergoes adaptive changes, followed by secondary changes to the external cortical portion of the bone, perhaps becoming thicker as a result…

I know that some of the old school guys practice the bottle method, but it a superstition, there’s no science behind that.

Luke has such an official voice, I expect him to be a High School Principle or something.

Dude needs to get into commentary.
