Immeediate rematches...
..are for fighters who were screwed by the ref/commission/judges etc…
Not just because you got your ass kicked and want to prove something.. Rematches are bad enough as it is in this sport.

I don’t agree with immediate rematches and I’m not a fan of him, but saying Smith was kicking his ass? lmfao, right. I guess Serra was kicking GSP’s ass too or Lawler was kicking Manhoef’s ass. Dude got caught, plain and simple. I’ll take Le in a rematch if it ever does happen.
Just to point something out
to be fair it wasn’t like GSP was handling Serra before he got knocked silly.

Yea, but we all saw what gsp did to that fat midget in the second fight. I think what he’s trying to say is these are all examples of the better fighter getting caught with a lucky punch.

I personally really don't care for using the term "lucky"
It’s been stated many times before, every punch is thrown with the intention of hurting the other fighter so when it lands it’s just reached it’s desired effect. Manhoef and Cung Le where both examples of two guys closing in with sloppy form against guys with brick hands and it cost the both of them, and GSP got caught plain and simple. Yeah it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not the greater fighter, but it also doesn’t delegitimize the other fighter’s win.
P.S. I’m pretty sure referring to Serra as a fat midget qualifies as fighter bashing sir.

What he did in the second fight does nothing to change what happened in the first. All it did was even the score. GSP handled Serra in the second. Bu nothing will ever change that Serra beat the shit out of him. And yeah, hitting the guy and making him tap from strikes, and needing to have a ref pull you off a guy does qualify as destroying someone and kicking their ass.

GSP got hiz ass handed to him, sure, he avenged the loss… but it doezn’t really matter…. Cung Lee had the upper hand in the Smith fight… but ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN, and if you have a guy like Scott Smith hitz you w/ a “Lucky Punch” (hate that term az well!) your goin down. and that’z part of the fight game.

Yes
twice in fact back in EliteXC. The first match was somewhat competetive but you could tell Lawlor had the upper hand and it ended on any eye poke, and the second fight…well lets just say there was no comeback victory for Smith.
