Solid K-1 career up until a few years ago, definitely no ground game.

Semmy has slapped an armbar on a few fighters in his day

For sure, only shot he has to catch Josh standing. Like I said above though, I feel it could’ve been a lot worse opponent. At least Mo has that chance to catch with a shot.

Seems like a completely competitive matchup

Ouch. Poor girl.
Aside from that, what does that prove? I’m sure a whole heap of kickboxers could knock down a little girl like that. Boo.

Seriously, I think it could be a real competitive fight
Mighty Mo is no joke, he is tough and has never been KO’d, and is probably one of the most solid punchers in fight sports. He has the downfall of the common samoan training habits and can blow up in weight, but if he takes it seriously I would not mind seeing this fight. Josh would definately have the advantage on the ground, but remember that Josh has often found himself in stand up fights when he could have gone to the ground and chose to slug it out, and this could very well be the case here.
A few things...
1) Mighty Mo now trains at Millennia MMA…relatively unknown but on the rise as a high level MMA camp. Romie Aram, Betiss Mansouri are coaches and they boast Georgi Karakhanyan, Wes Combs, Rick Legere, and of course Mighty MO among others who are in the process of making names for themselves. A legit MMA camp.
2) Mighty Mo is confirmed for a fight in Los Angeles on MArch 19th. Food for thought.
3) Mighty Mo still kickboxes regularly despite not fighting MMA for quite some time.
Okay…that’s my $0.03

Interesting about the LA fight – has his opponent been announced?
Also, Mo’s kickboxing career has really been on the skids the past few years. He’s lost 6 of his last 7.
(Fun fact: that one win was against Justice from American Gladiators.)

Like I said…I spoke with the promoter yesterday and he made it SOUND as if the Mo fight is still on so this DREAM news is a bit puzzling.
