Man this guy got the best job in all of MMA. Who’s another fighter who can fight unranked fighters make a ton of money and never really have to face stiff competition unless he wants to..
Who is it thats taken such a liking to him the japanese?
I think Overeem meganess as in his spectacular build makes him such a hot commodity. If I were him I would never come back to the states and just continue killing it overseas.. Especially if he is using what people think he is using.
Regardless Overeem is a money making machine!
new that was gunna come up but no Rogers AA Slyvia where are way more highly regarded than the guys overeem fights. Regardless of skill the big names is what counts..
I think you missed the ‘MMA’ part of the original post.
No one is questioning the caliber of Overeem’s competition in kickboxing.
He also only fought Hari in kickboxing.

I don't think there is an HW in MMA
with as much talent as Badr Hari has for K1. He’s a devastatingly skilled competitor.

Overeem is a Joke.
Once he faces a real fighter he’ll deflate fast.

Overeem has already faced real fighters.
Shogun, Nog, Liddell… he’s lost them all. Looks like he finally found a niche for himself: fighting undersized / underskilled opponents for big bucks in Japan. Overeem has middle management written all over him: get paid the most possible by doing the least.
You have to be the man... you have to be very, like, alpha male with her. You know? Decide what you do and everything. So, show her who's the boss, you know? - GSP

I fully support this roster
Somebody make it; it’ll be more fun than anything THQ can produce.

I just watched this again
And I’m pretty sure Fujita threw exactly one strike — a crappy, slow, looping counter right hand that missed. At least he was a moving target.
Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
Am I the only one who feels bad for Fujita here. I mean he took the fight, he wanted the paycheck, I get that, but this is almost amoral. I mean with Thompson at least Overeem had the decency to choke him out.
The man known simply as "Christmas Cheesesteak"
Fujita has a notoriously unbreakable chin.
There’s even a Cracked article about it. Overeem is the first guy to break him like that.
And lets not forget Fujita also took fights with Fedor, Cro Cop (2x), and PRIDE Wanderlei. His career is built off getting pummeled and either not falling down or being too dumb/courageous to stay down.

Yeah
But the guys like a hundred and fifty years old. Pear that with the ridiculous beatings he took which you just listed, what’d they think was going to happen?
The man known simply as "Christmas Cheesesteak"
He's 39
younger than Hendo or Chuck, and way younger than Randy. Plus, early in his career he beat Kerr, Ken Shamrock, Gilbert Yvel, and Takayama all in a row (if you leave out tossing the towel to Coleman at the start of a tourney match). He also made Fedor go chickenlegged. Combine all that with the fact that Japan doesn’t have a “What have you done for me lately?” mentality, and it’s a workable matchup.
That said, it’s the scariest KO this side of Lindland.
