UFC 111 Second City Movie Theater Meetup (Chicago, Fools)
It's time to meet some of you freaks. I planned on going to see UFC 111 in theaters when word leaked, and it's a good opportunity to get to know the Chicagoland Bloody Elbow Contingent in the process. So here's your chance to meet a Q-list faux-celebrity.
Brief research shows that two theaters are playing the fight within city limits: Webster Place 11 and City North 14 (both [former?] Kerasotes theaters). They appear to be a short blue line hop from each other, so the general location is set.
I figure we meet up between 7 and 8 at a bar beforehand. I live in Lakeview and consequently have no knowledge of the bar scene in the Logan Square/Bucktown area. Thoughts?
I'm open to whatever, but I prefer small, cheap, and divey. As long as we're not meeting at Buffalo Wild Wings, though, I'm cool. Plan-building in the comments and I reserve the right to pull the Fuhrer card if things get out of control.
The FanPosts are solely the subjective opinions of Bloody Elbow readers and do not necessarily reflect the views of Bloody Elbow editors or staff.

Pequod’s may be the place.
I love Goldie’s, but I think it’s a bit of a hike.

goodluck, gentlemen. I am an alcoholic and could not bear to sit in a movie theatre to watch this for what would be the price of admission at a bar and 3-4 beers. Also, the whole affording it thing – as a lurker I don’t intend on crashing this party drunk as hell off some cheap shit in order to afford the admission… shortly after getting kicked out for oooohing aaaaaaaaahing or omg-ing at people’s shirts, demeanor, or inability to drink like I did. One day though, one day. I would also feel tactless smuggling in booze even though that idea has crossed probably everyone who is thinking about this’ mind.
I did rec the main though. were you by any chance the guy who came up to me to talk about mma gambling after overhearing my tax return plans while i was smoking outside of Goldie’s?

but I’ve really been wanting to visit that place for the longest time.
PS
