UFC 111 roll call

Having just gotten confirmation from ESPN that I'll be shooting UFC 111 for them (and word that my flights are booked), I was wondering who else from the land of BloodyElbow will be heading in to NY/NJ for the fights?

My plans are to stay with relations in Madsion, NJ (a short drive from the Prudential Center) but with a lot of the fight week press activities happening in Manhattan, I expect to be in NY as well for a good portion of my time.

I'm just spitballing here but perhaps a pre-fight meet-up might be an idea... maybe on the Friday following the weigh-ins? I could always use an opportunity to sell some autographed prints (haha!)

Anyways, add your name to the list with some of your '111 plans and hopefully I'll see you around!

I should be at the event

with my wife and a bunch of friends. Though I’ll be flying in from business the day before and now my company is saying I might have to stayout longer. There’s a chance I might miss it but we’ll see and I’ll let you know.

I won't be there but...

ESPN wants you to cover the event? Do you always cover UFC events for ESPN?

I've covered a lot of the UFC events for ESPN

I’ve shot 75, 80, 84, 85, 86, 88, 89, 93, 95, 99, 100 and 105 for them… this show will be lucky number 13 for them and will be the fifteenth marquee UFC event that I’ve shot (UFC 70 & 72 were shot for wire service agencies); if all goes to plan I should be in Abu Dhabi for UFC 112 as well, after which I’ll likely be sitting out any marquee shows until the UFC comes back to the UK.

Still – two events back-to-back featuring three title fights and one interim HW title fight… nothing for me to complain about :)

I’m actually flying to NYC to supervise a field trip of second year Geography students; won’t be going to the fights, but if anyone in the area can suggest some good places to watch otherwise, I’d appreciate it!

Radio City Music Hall

They are showing the Fight in NYC at the RCMH. Tickets aren’t on sale yet but they will be soon. That should be a good place.

I’ll be Section 10 Seats 1 and 2 at the with my lady at UFC 111.
