Sonnen Ignores Statements Made by Soares

PrintEd Soares may think Chael Sonnen must have a rematch with Demian Maia -- who submitted Sonnen via triangle choke at UFC 95 -- but Sonnen doesn't care, and doesn't feel the need to lash out.
"I won't respond. Ed isn't in a position of power - he is in a position of opinion. Dana (White) and Joe Silva have already spoken, their word is final, my fate is set," Sonnen said during a recent interview with MMA HQ.
Sonnen has been so vocal about the fact he'd rather fight Silva instead of Vitor, it surprised me he didn't want to respond to the statements.
Until it's time to step into the cage for a title shot, Sonnen looks to keep busy by helping teammates train, staying active in the community, and running a campaign to become an Oregon state representative.

Everybody hates the ones that can’t back up their talk. I am a huge fan of Nate, and remain one after his shocking completely dominated loss. I still believe he will fight for 10 more years and end up one of the best fighters of all time. If Chael is telling truth about Anderson’s understanding of the english language, I can’t wait for a champion (that talks a lot of s#it and backs it up). Before this fight no one was ready to believe that Chael had a prayer against Nate let alone the champ.

That was the perfect response really, Soares has no power he just likes to think he does basically Chael just called him out for being all bark and no bite well done.
