After some previous rumors that he had been relegated to the prelims ruffled some feathers, Jens Pulver fans will be relieved to learn that his fight with Javier Vasquez at WEC 47 will indeed air as part of the five-fight televised main card.

The undercards to WEC shows are great, and I am interested in many of the undercard fights especially seeing Jorgensen vs Chad George. Deividas Taurosevicius is having a really short turnover between fights because he just fought Mackens Semerzier.

For several days, the WEC website had the match listed in the prelim section with the “May not be broadcast” label below it, which is likely what lead to the rumors. I didn’t think that made much sense since they were advertising Pulver’s return to sell the show.

No doubt.

Seeing as he is in contention for the bantamweight title. He’ll probably end up fighting one of the fighters in the main/co-main event. Pretty dumb move if you ask me. Instead of building up future fights they want to air Pulver who is on his last legs.

I would much rather see Chad Mendes’ debut or the Scott Jorgenson fight than an aging fighter on a four fight losing streak who is likely to never be relevant again.

I was kind of hoping it wasn’t going to be shown on TV as I didn’t really want to see him get pulverised again, I just can’t picture him beating anyone at the moment, and he deserves better than going out 0 – 5.
