This being on free-to-air tv in Aus will bring a massive amount of eye balls to the sport here. There’s a real buzz going around which started just from the ‘UFC Wired’ show that airs on the same channel.
Ten One is a new channel that’s angling itself to be the premium free sports channel in Australia. Fox Sports (pay tv) finally has a challenger. Rumor has it, Ten One just got the rights for the Strikeforce events too.

Australians... is there any buzz over there for this event in the general public?

Definitely. As Benicio mentioned above, a lot of it seems to come from OneHD showing UFC wired. Their showing of UFC promos/advertisements is increasing as well. The Undisputed game had a massive impact and raised a lot of awareness about the UFC in general and in turn the upcoming event.
Everyone I know is pumped for the event and jealous of the lucky few who have tickets.
The UFC are even hosting a screening of the event, just outside the arena, that will be hosted by 3 UFC fighters. Those tickets are $50 a pop and selling pretty well from what i hear.
Sorry, he Jason Bourned me.

I’ve got no idea why it’s under tennis.
Can’t wait

Tis pretty awesome they put it on One.
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.
It should do amazingly well
Around where I live (1-2hrs north of Sydney) you couldn’t throw a boomerang without hitting a douche in a tapout shirt. The culture in this country is also pretty focused on sports of any description as well as being centered on drinking so Sunday afternoons are a typical time for drinking and watching some sport at the same time.
Also, the country has just begun the shift into digital only tv. Every person across the country that didn’t have digital free to air just went out and got them a new digital tv and most people are tv addicts now & will watch anything as long as it’s in HD.. I don’t really like sports myself-except mma, yet find myself watching one if there’s nothing else, just cos it looks so damn good..
