Jim Ross talks Dana White:

"UFC President Dana White was on the money when he said that at times that his role in UFC was that of a "glorified baby sitter." Oh, how I can relate to that analogy from my days of yesteryear. Dana does a magnificent job representing UFC publicly, conveys their attitudinal personality and has become a helluva sound byte."

I love it when people make words up, it’s fantabulous!

Well, any man who is a success in prowrestling and selling bbq is a man I should definitely listen to.

Any man that did all that at the same time as he was a vice president of a major entertainment company dealing with many of the same issues as he discusses in MMA probably does deserve an occasional ear.

JR has been commenting on the UFC for years. He’s been a big mma advocate in the wrestling community.

Aside from being an announcer he also used to be a WWE vice president(in charge of talent relations). He has tons of knowledge of show production and dealing with talent. His insights into the MMA industry are usually pretty spot on in those areas.

I saw where Jim Ross’s contract with the WWE is about up. I wonder if an MMA organization would be tempted to inquire about his services?

Just BE.

If only he commentated under Pride rules, we’d get to hear “Shogun is stompin’ a mud hole and walkin’ it dry!”

He’s not had a long term contract with the WWE for quite a while now but he seems to be pretty loyal to them. He also has some health issues, i dont think he is doing anything at all right now.
