Paul Filho says Vitor Belfort beats Anderson Silva:
"Vitor trained and with a good head is almost unbeatable. He punches very well, he’s explosive and he’s proving it. I know him since he was a kid on Carlson’s time. He’s talented and dangerous. He’s complete, with a good Wrestling, boxing, good Jiu-Jitsu to MMA... With a good mind I believe on him on any category, against anyone. Anderson is amazing, I don’t even have what to say about him, but, honestly, I think if they are equal, Vitor takes it."

Man did Anderson piss some people off or what?
First Machida, who is supposed to be like a brother to Silva, trains Vitor and now Filho, who last time I checked is a member of Black House, is now picking Belfort to win.
What is going on here? Is Black House turning against each other?
Filho was with Team Link now from memory, but I take your point.
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.
I stand corrected
but even without them being on the same team check out what was said in September of 2008.
“Definitely no,” Filho said of a potential bout with Silva. “We’re close friends and I believe there’s space for everybody [in the UFC]. It’s definitely out of my plans.”

“Paulo Filho is … absolute in this division, there’s nobody to beat him. In my opinion, he’s the best middleweight. I would never fight with Paulo. We almost train together, we’re always helping each other and (Josuel) Distak is our coach. There’s no chance to happen. People can complain, scream, whatever, but it won’t happen.”

It’s just a little weird. You have these guys like Silva/Machida and Silva/Filho who claim to be great friends and would never fight each other yet Machida is willing to train his next opponent and Filho is picking against him. Silva always seems to place this emphisis on loyalty and friendship and yet it seems like his “friends” are going against him.
Fighters and camps
are full of drama and tension. It’s like Mean Girls but instead on Lindsay Lohan it’s professional face-punchers and bone breakers.

Not everyone understands the magnitude of this fight… This is arguably the toughest fight Silva will ever have at 185.
He’s going to lose so I think people will understand the magnitude of it after it happens.

I wouldnt go that far but Vitro certainly has a better chance than anybody in the 185 lb class and I think Vitor poses a much bigger threat than GSP.
you think he has a better shot than nate? really?

way better… I dont think Nate will fair any better then last time. Nate has improved his game alot but you cant change your chin – as soon as he gets hit again he’ll revert back to trying to hold on for dear life.
With Vitor he’s got the chin and the entire skill set to make this an epic fight… the only thing that’s lacking or thats a question mark is his mindset – and Anderson beats you mentally first which doesnt bode well for Vitor especially if it lasts long.
If Vitor had Rich Franklins mind set and heart he’d be nearly as unbeatable as Anderson – and thats the question that will be answered in this fight.
No, not everyone understands the magnitude. But I do
And I disagree. There is nothing in the History of Belforts career to suggest that he can prevail against Anderson. Virtually every top fighter he has faced he has lost to(and when I mean top, one whom is a champion or in their prime and on a win streak, so please, don’t parade in Franklin, Lindland and Terry Martin as examples). He does have some speed and physical skills, is his speed, footwork and timing on par with Silvas, I think not. But more importantly, he does not have the mental will that Anderson does. And that is where he will fail.
He is, but he has a couple points there. Vitor is quite impressive when he’s on. But that reach is going to be devastating. I think Anderson TKO’s Vitor in the second round. For the sake of the division though, I hope Vitor wins. Though I have learned not to pick against the champ.
You have to be the man... you have to be very, like, alpha male with her. You know? Decide what you do and everything. So, show her who's the boss, you know? - GSP
The problem with Vitor is that he’s rarely on.

War Vitor! I hope he pulls this one out (though I do doubt it, Andersons getting a Fedorish aura about him) and brings Anderson back down to earth. His attitude in the last few fights wasn’t all that cool IMO. Putting his hands on his hips and helping opponents up. Man, just do what you do and stop acting so cocky.

Why are some MMA fans so sensitive?
So what if he acts overly cocky or arrogant, honestly I think most fighters are actually that way behind closed doors just some prefer not to be fakes and hide it. It’s like Frank Mir said in an interview about guys saying all these humble and noble things about their opponent before hand but when the cameras off their talking about how they don’t like them and how badly they’ll beat them. Considering that they’re job is to potentially seperate eachother from consciousness or limbs it’s kind of weird that the thing you complain about is him helping someone up.
If your a fighter you have to have an almost inflated confidence in yourself to be able to compete at such a high level, if you don’t think you’re honestly better than the guy your facing whats the point of fighting him other than for a paycheck? To put my Mir shoes on for a second if a guys arrogant and all that is that a guy you want to hang out with on a personal level, probably not, but if he’s a fighter and gets the job done especially in spectacular fashion than who gives a toot, and please excuse my language I know using the t word was unnecessary.

Anything can happen in a fight..
Anderson is still the superior striker of the two IMO..
Vitor has been known to mentally give up when the fight is pushed out of his comfort zone.. Vitor always looks good when it’s an early explosive stoppage.. I don’t think he’ll gat that chance with Anderson, although anything is possible and he certainly has the speed and power to put someone down ..
I think this will go to decision.. Both will come out hesitant as usual.. Anderson will make use of his height and reach advantage to win a decision..

Im sure Filho can relate to Belfort
Especially as it relates to the reference of having a “good head”. Since they both have had obvious mental stability issues during their career, that have effected their ability to perform to their potential.
But that would also make me take this “prediction” with a grain of salt.
