God damn, that guy would be short even for a middleweight.

I wonder if he could cut to 205,

cause he will be reallyyyyyyyyyy undersized at LHW, and he will probably be dwarfed at HW.

This should be interesting.

This is a great matchup. The right level of experience both with MMA and outside MMA. And interesting fight to me sure.

Shit, Rhadi is only a four time National Judo Champ and 2004 US Olympian. That’s no background for mma. At least his cousin entered after street-fighting guys like The Bouncer and the always dangerous Sean Gannon.

he’s been coaching at ATT for years.

Sure glad Lesnar got his shit straightened out.

Also did some work at TLI I think

Wow does anyone else find it crazy that kimbo has a cousin with such an extensive martial arts background? I just checked this guys Wikipedia page and it says he has a black belt in bjj and has competed at a very high level. Not to mention the Olympic level judo.

No; I’m an anarchist activist and my brother is a suit with a major electronics corporation. It happens.

Wow...dude was just ragdolling people...

The lift and slam around 2:05 was like something out of a pro wrestling video game….

he doesn’t look that much smaller than lashley in that video

by puuhonua on Feb 6, 2010 1:47 AM EST up reply actions

Should be interesting. Rhadi’s always had a very wrestling-style form of judo in the standup. He’s been great with pickups and leg attacks. Given how those are being (mostly) taken out of competitive judo, the next generation may not have those skills. All the grip-fighting and handwork in the world isn’t too useful in MMA, but his skills should translate well. I’ve worked with him in a clinic before, and he’s got to be one of the strongest guys in the sport. It is absolutely absurd what that guy can do with a 200 pound body.

Also, he’ll be one of the best educated guys in MMA ;)
