Because this is a fairly stacked card and there isn’t much room for his match-up with (what should be) an inferior opponent. Probably thinking they can fit this prelim on the telecast at some point or use it for a Wreckage show in the near future.

If Jens loses this fight, Zuffa needs to realease him I can’t bear to watch him lose anymore even if he wins this should be it for him. Let him be a commentator or something but he just can’t compete anymore and he’s too good of a person to waste away fighting lesser competition.

I normally get pretty excited for WEC, but I can’t really get hyped for Bowles or Cruz.

I’m psyched to see Torres in action, but the next WEC card just blows this one out of the water for me in terms of looking-forward-to-it.

Maybe it’s just because I think Jose Aldo is the second coming, and he was on every other card the WEC had last year..

Do you have a pulse? Just because they have another card coming up that’s awesome doesn’t mean you can’t be excited for this (free) card. I love watching BJ and can get excited for any card he’s not on. I mean this is a card with Miguel on it for God’s sake

I'm not saying it's not a good card

But neither Cruz not Bowles excite me that much. I agree that they are #1 and #top five at BW, but that doesn’t change the fact that neither of them gets my blood pumping to watch them fight. Maybe I don’t have a pulse?

I AM excited for the Torres fight though, I think he shows how technically superior he is to Benavidez standing and grappling-wise.

And not being hyped up for it doesn’t mean I’m not going to watch it.

Dunno, some fighters just get me more excited than others I guess.

What does Bowles have to do to grab your attention? I agree that Cruz is more methodical, but Bowles is a finisher and a ton of fun to watch.

Good question. I don't know.

TBH, it’s probably because I don’t think he’s THAT skilled anywhere, even though he’s good everywhere and has big power in his hands. Also, it might be because I think he has no personality.

Sort of like Rich Franklin – I think he’s a stand up guy and a top fighter, but he’s not THAT skilled anywhere, and his personality doesn’t make me care about him either way.

The WEC, I feel, is probably the most consistent organization out there. Can’t remember the last time I walked away from a WEC event disappointed. Really stoked for this. Now if only I had the ability to actually WATCH it live that would be great. Thanks DirecTV.
