Brock Lesnar Says "I am Truly Hoping That Frank Mir Wins His Fight"

"I feel really good. I'm back to training, I started main camp last week and I feel great. Everything is on track. Starting to build the base up again and get ready to fight hopefully mid-summer. We're thinking about July 3rd Las Vegas right now."-- Brock Lesnar talks to KFAN Sports Radio AM 1130 - The Fan (audio)
"Fighting the winner, hopefully the winner, of Frank Mir and Shane Carwin. If one of those guys are unable to fight after that fight. I'll probably fight Cain Velasquez from my understanding. I'd really like to fight Frank Mir again."
"You know I don't know what he [Frank Mir] thought... he's still trying to pull his foot out of his mouth and when you say something like that and your wife has to go out and apologize for you, you know you pissed somebody off. I think his wife made the apology before he did probably."
"But you know in this sport of fighting. Fighting has come so far in such a short amount of time. We want to perceive ourselves as athletes and get the respect of the general public. Yeah it was out of line but in the fighters mentally I don't want to go in the Octagon and kill somebody but I do want to do whatever I can to win. And maybe that's what he was saying, I don’t know."
"But the guy should probably just focus on the task in front of him which is Shane Carwin because if Shane Carwin beats his ass he won't be fighting me.... Hopefully he gets past Shane Carwin so I can put another beat down on him. For a guy to take an ass whopping like the last I gave him and for him to get up and keep running his mouth. You know I just got to laugh at it."
"I got to go back to a quote that he said before my second fight. He said if Brock Lesnar beats me, He will become the greatest mixed martial artist ever. And I guess he's eating his words and he doesn't want to say that again, he doesn't want to admit that I am that much better than him."
"But I am truly hoping that Frank wins this fight so it sets us up for July and maybe the next beat down will ... (laughs) I don't know what I have to do to shut him up."

If Frank Murr beats Carwin and is able to face Brock.
Brock allows Frank Murr to go 5 rounds and just absolutely pounds on not looking to finish just dishing out absolute punishment

This is a fantastic Lesnar quote. Its awesome the way he recalls franks previous trash talking. It like a verbal Indiana Jones vs. the sword spinning guy. Frank talks shit causing this big topic and Brock make shutting him down look pretty easy. They only way to make Frank look more like a tool would be to put the last part together like “I can’t shut him up, so I’ll have to beat him down” or “Frank talks, I can’t doing anything about that that I haven’t done before, That guy will never shut up (laughs)”
Some people think I am a dumb, ugly human being, but really I am a beautiful ape, with exceptional verbal skills.
I think that should be reserved for Brasilians.

Based on the central character in the Eminem song of the same name, a “stan” is an overzealous maniacal fan for any celebrity or athlete.

I prefer the likes of Rhymefest, Atmosphere, Brother Ali and yes the Brooklyn duo of Black Star. I’m not hating on Lil Wayne and them cats milking these kids of all their money. Hey whatever they. Make good intellectual music with purpose or make easy money.

See, I don’t view Lil Wayne as this great artist or anything, but hes funny and has some really clever rhymes. Atmosphere is really good.
Ever listen to Wale? Probably my favorite flow right now.

Hate to butt in
but Aceyalone, Book of Human Language for poetic flow, Kool Keith for pure genius… Lil Wayne?? (face palm) At least Dirty had some gritty creativity.
These bubble gum rappers nowadays are manufactured down to their fake thug tattoos.
lil wayne is the best rapper alive. no disputing. i listen to a wide array of stuff and the only reason people put him down is because he’s a rock star and everywhere now. if you listen to his entire breadth of work (i have like 400 songs) he’s undeniably the best. the best underground rappers are Eyedea and Atmosphere for sure, Sage Francis is great, Blackstar can be too preachy sometimes, but Kid CuDi Wale Drake and J.Cole are the wave of the future for popular rappers. Also, if you haven’t heard B.o.B i suggest you get his stuff. Brother Ali is WAY overhyped.
But yeah, hating on Lil’ Wayne is just silly. I spent a lot of my punk loving life refusing to conform and listen to popular music, but at some point you just have to give great artists like Jay and Wayne their due.

Actually
I don’t “hate” on him because he’s popular or because he’s big, I tend to favor actual substance in lyrics and musical production.
Lets look at a sampling of Lil Wayne:

I think this is an example of how Lesnar is a successful heel and Mir isn’t. It seems like Lesnar is being himself when he says what he says and it isn’t forced, its just the way he is, whereas Mir tries waaaay too hard and looks silly, like a bad actor
I think people just want to hate Mir,
and therefore every time he says things, people claim he’s trying too hard… I think he just says shit people don’t like, which prolly doesn’t take much effort

The point you’re all missing is that a life threatening illness like Brock went through changes a man. I expected this wiser, more modest Brock Lesnar, a new Brock, appreciative for this second chance, and revealing the maturity and perspective an experience like that imparts;)

When did Mir say this?
“He said if Brock Lesnar beats me, he will become the greatest mixed martial artist ever.”
I don’t remember it, but memory is unreliable!
Also, kind of rich for Lesnar to be taking the nuanced view after his hooting and hollering after UFC 100, but I can’t deny his points.
Funny comment about Mir’s wife apologizing for him too.
Get rid of the ramp!
If Brock Lesnar is able to be a world-class mixed martial artist on his fifth fight, that means he’s the best mixed martial artist pound-for-pound that ever came into MMA.
http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=7965&zoneid=1
This is the quote he’s talking about. So, that’s not exactly what Mir said, but he was implying that Brock would a world class mized martial artist if he was able to beat him in their 2nd fight, which obviously he did.
Perfect. Now Mir either has to either say that Brock is a world-class mixed martial artist OR say that he was beaten by a non-world-class mixed martial artist. I prefer the latter.

Brock wants to fight Frank Mir because...
it’s easier than Carwin or Velasquez.
Don’t know about Carwin, but I definitely think Velasquez is his hardest fight right now. Randy showed that if you have good technique you can do fine against Brock’s wrestling. I reckon Velasquez’s speed, wrestling and ridiculous cardio would undo Brock in 3 rounds.
UFC 110 was the greatest live event I have ever attended. What a crowd!
WHO Tapped
It was Brock who tapped like a little girl. Frank took a beating but didn’t tap. You guys seem to forget it’s tied at a win apiece. Anything can happen, a year layoff is a long time.
Yes! The only way Murr wins is by a Hail Mary of a Sub.
"For your information, I would like to ask a question."

Nog and Lesnar fans need to join a club, i’ve never heard more excuses and crying from anyother fighters fan in my life. Brock got sloppy and hit Mir with illegal strikes, Maz did his job then he got tapped period.
I don't like Lesnar.
Maybe you should do some research and not jump on someone for a post that you know jack about.
It's not like he could check the BROCKLESNAR fan club web site or something.
Though I hear they’re talking about making BROCKLESNAR fans register and notify their neighbors.

If Brock maintains this particular perspective he’ll win me over in no time. Otherwise I suspect he’ll be back to normal eventually. Quicker than usual.
???
Wow! Even I was shocked after reading BROCKLESNAR’S response! Well…..you know what though? It’s true, if you think about it. BROCK destroyed Mir! He should laugh at all of this. I love the way he’s seeing this. He’s not getting too anxious. He put it nice and simple; If Mir wins, LESNAR is just going to pound him once again. You know, after it’s all said and done, who know’s……we might be seeing Mir and Lesnar training together. You know the phrase; “If you can’t beat em, join em”!
But there is still half a horseshoe stuck up Mir’s ass. BROCK will happily remove it tho!
by the way:
I love the picture tagged to this post. You see the dominant alpha male (BROCKLESNAR), mouth opened, screaming at the world, giving his victory walk……and if you look at the background; You just see the lower torso of a destroyed Mir. LOL!!! Looks like he got run down by a tank!
