Never seen him. Whats his wrestling pedigree? He talks alot of shit. If he was any good he would first be talking his way into the UFC and move up the ladder like everyone else. You are not special!

He squandered his career on his unwillingness to engage, and he’s increasingly bitter as a result of that. Just winning isn’t enough in this sport— you’ve gotta make yourself marketable, you have to encourage people to pay to watch you. A lot of “boring” fighters still manage to do the minimum to get signed to a major contract, but McKee is just in another world. Doesn’t help that his mouth gets him in trouble, too.
Lucky for him, he’s got a super successful gym. He should LNP 2-3 more guys and then head out to pasture.

He’s a points fighter. like 75% of his fights go to decision.
And he’s talking so much crap about Karo, when Karo beat him already.
Dana, please sign this man to a one-fight title shot contract so BJ can embarass him and send him on his way.
His last 18 fights have gone to a decision except for one, which was due to a knee injury. I’m not one to criticize fighters for being boring, but his highlights consist of low impact double legs, and knees to an opponent’s gooch. Let him avenge his knockout loss to Chris Brennen first, and then we can talk about Antonio McKee calling BJ out as news.

the greatest lightweight in the history of the sport is eeking out split decision victories over Ron Jhun (who is on a 10 fight losing streak) and Delson Heleno (who isn’t a bad fighter, but he’d get eaten alive by most of the UFC roster).
The lack of finishing ability is always a big plus. Considering that the average top 15 fighter finishes somewhere around 60-70% of their non major promotion (DREAM, PRIDE, UFC, Strikeforce) fights.

Hasn’t that always been his style though? Besides getting decisions against the lower tier fighters, he also decisioned Imada, and Aurelio and lost by decision to Karo. The man’s whole style is dependent on using the rules to their outmost to squeak out a decision. That’s the thing about Mandingo, he goes to decision with everyone.
Yeah...
I mean, he isn’t a BAD fighter. But his style is a major limiting factor, not only in his ability to entertain, but in his ability to really have decisive wins with any reliability

I personally would like to see him against Guida. That would be a good measuring stick for him, and I think it would be awesome if Guida is the one getting ’’LnP’ed’’ haha.
And to those people who havent seen any of his fights, saying the tired out line I see on youtube all the time, — ‘if he’s so good, he’d be in the UFC’, well Mckee is good.. Might not be BJ Penn good, but of course, no one is… He’s certainly UFC level, but the UFC just doesn’t like ‘boring’ guys.

Anton, I’m not sure he’s even UFC level; he’s beaten a lot of scrubs. He’s got great cardio, which means that his “pretty good but not spectacular” wrestling gets more effective as the fight goes on. The first LW striker with take down defence that he couldn’t immediately penetrate would blast him on the feet – he has very basic standup. And I think guys like Sotiropolous would eat him alive with BJJ; his wrestling isn’t so dominating that he can’t be submitted by a really good grappler.
