If I didn’t have an old injury I’d be one of them…Marines wouldn’t take me because of no rotatorcuff and partially torn MCL.

The odds on Karl Amoussou and Paul Bradley are almost begging for some play.

agree, hope bodog puts these up soon

I’m surprised at the Amoussou odds to be honest…no clue how they can big that good/bad…Prangley hasn’t really hasn’t really impressed me since his run in bodog…maybe the odds makers know something I don’t.

That is the one that got me as well, I think he is one of the next big things. As soon as I saw the odds on bestfightodds I immediately contacted bodog!

I see the Bradley/Rockhold fight going the same way as Taylor/Rockhold to be honest. Luke seems way too difficult to hold down over the course of three rounds for me to feel comfortable betting on Bradley.
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

I just think that Bradley is a better wrestler…but you may be right…but still those odds are good enough for small play.

On the other hand, I’m actually surprised to see Amoussou as the underdog. Prangley’s good, but he’s not as good as the odds would lead you to believe.

Yeah, last that that Prangley really impressed was in Bodog fight. Amoussou in my opinion should be the favorite…or not that big of a dog. Either way I’ll put a bill on it.

Wait wait, Kaufman/Hashi is a title fight!
How the heck is it not even headlining a Challengers card. Thats just a bad idea. You need to put that on a big card to draw attention to the division
Maybe this isn’t the actual card order… (he said, hopefully)
"I'm AJB and I endorse this nut-puncher."
The card is called Challengers: Prangley vs. Amoussou
I get the feeling that fight’s the main event.
Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

Wouldn't be the first time...
Fedor/Rogers headlined over Mayhem/Shields, which was for the MW Title.
Very, Very Different
Fedor is Fedor… a title fight should not be trumped by Trevor Prangley and Karl Amoussou…
I’ve talked to Sarah about this and will have her thoughts up on MMA Madness later this week.

There's no difference
Having someone else headline while there is a title fight, to me, is disrespectful of the title.
Not just that, but Kaufmann has been on the main card of these Challengers cards twice now, and is one of few fighters who have been pushed and benefited from the exposure and competition she received from these Challengers events. For people who watch Strikeforce Challengers, one would think that having someone like Kaufman who has been on it for a while now would headline just for being a somewhat familiar name (to those who watch these Challengers events of course).
Any word on if Strikerforce will be expanding their female roster? Aside from the 135 LB division, I would love to see Mega Megu fighting for a 115 LB strap.
And is the Women’s 135 LB division called Bantamweight, or are they going with different names?
While it would be nice to see Megu fight in the US, Strikeforce is having a hard enough time getting their current roster fights. Expansion would end up hurting them even more.

That's true
But these challengers cards could be normal cards, just push the roster further down and add a decent Main and Co-Main Event. Having only five fights on a card is crazy…
The problem is that they have fighters like Lawler (he had problems with not getting fights) and Heiron that make too much to justify headlining a Challengers event. Would it be smart because that’d draw people to watch that show? Yes, but financially they can’t handle it.

I can't believe he's on a "Challengers" card.
How long has the guy been fighting profesionally? 10 years?

http://strikeforce.com/blog/2010/02/matchmakers-breakdown-sarah-kaufman-vs-takayo-hashi/
The Strikeforce Challengers show on February 26th will feature a very historic main event as Sarah Kaufman (10-0) takes on Takayo Hashi (12-1) for the inaugural Strikeforce Women’s 135 pound title. This bout is scheduled for 5 X 5 minute rounds.
Sarah Kaufman, who hails from Victoria, Canada, is currently the #1-ranked female bantamweight in the world according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings. She is a very aggressive striker with solid clinch work, vicious ground and pound, and a great sprawl. Kaufman always looks to finish the fight, 8 of her 10 wins have come by KO/ TKO. Her last 2 fights have been against elite grapplers, the experience gained from those fights will certainly help her against Hashi.
Takayo Hashi is a slick grappler who can scramble with the best of them. She is the #2-ranked female bantamweight in the world according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings. The Abu Dhabi medalist from Japan is entering the match on an 8 fight win streak, during which she avenged her only loss. Although the majority of her wins are by submission, she certainly isn’t afraid to mix it up on the feet.
Both women are well rounded fighters that fight at a very high pace. They are fearless and go for it! They have been training very hard and will be prepared to go the distance if they have to. Expect to see the highest level of women’s MMA on display that night!
