Once upon a time I was playing poker and talked to the next guy about my dislike for kids who wear MMA apparel acting all tough and give MMA bad rep. Sure enough Asian Dude sat down right next to me in his Affliction shirt and Tapout hat. Guy sitting next to me started asking me about the difference between MMA, UFC and Tapout. And Asian Dude proudly claimed he trains UFC. I was speechless. Then he starting telling me about his karate black belt, his wrestling pedigree and his dislike of jujitsu. He hates jujitsu because he does not like being on his back. (?!) Long story short, he then challenged me to spar with him so I invited him to my gym. He dissed my gym and never showed up. To this day I'm still waiting for him. Please contact me if you see Asian Dude.

Dana said Forrest and Stephan would be with the UFC for awhile at the Sydney presser. Basically saying Bonnar wouldn’t get cut after 110 no matter what.

I know he hasn’t really looked UFC caliber in his last couple of fights, but he always puts on good scraps. And he’s a good name for the UFC to market prospects against.

Why was it not a draw?!?

I don’t get these rules , the 2 guys clash heads , one of them is cut so the other one wins ? WTF , if there’s ever a reason to stop a fight (with a draw , or without an outcome) that’s the one!
Just like when Fedor and Nog clashed heads and Fedor was cut , Nog didn’t win! Pride had more sense I think.

well i mean even if it was, it opens up such precedent where fighters can now ‘accidentally’ knee others in the groin, poke others in the eye or sth

It was accidental. They both went to throw a punch and their heads ended up in the same area and it was a good stoppage.

It was after 2 rounds in a 3 round fight, even if the ref realized it was from a headbutt, they would have gone to the scorecards. Who knows how judges would have scored that 3rd round, draw was an option, but NC was not an option because it was the 3rd round.
