Quote of the Day: Frank Mir - "I Want to Break Brock Lesnar's Neck in the Ring"

"I want to fight Brock Lesnar. I hate who he is as a person."-- Frank Mir on WXDX radio with Mark Madden (the audio should be up on Monday)
"I want to break his neck in the ring. I want him to be the first person that dies to Octagon-related injuries."

It's just getting weird and disturbing now.
Walking the line between intelligence and ignorance since 1985
@deowade
Frank said this with a fixed Jack Nicholson stare while slowly carving Brock’s name in his arm with an icepick…really though, this is way too soon, and way over the line anyway…

Seriously, WTF is wrong with Mir? It’s just a game. Points are awarded, somebody wins, everybody gets paid.
Sure glad Lesnar got his shit straightened out.

Yeah, not funny… too disturbing, too weird, too far.

I don’t ever remember him getting this angry with Brandon Vera.

i dunno, seems like mur is going a bit far with this… the first death in the octagon remark not gonna be taken well by anybody. i know he’s expecting brock to read this shit and get angry about it and possibly make mistakes due to raging… but honestly i don’t think brock reads any of this stuff/listens to any of the interviews.
Yep, that’s the wrong kind of heat. This is exactly the reason Blackout put him in the ‘Unsuccessful Heel’ category.
Failburger for Mir. He’s no Chael Sonnen.

LOL @ Kwisatz! That was the perfect mental image!
" I WANNA BREAK BROCK’S NECK,I WANNA FUCK HIS WIFE. I WANT..I WANT…I JUST WANT ATTENTION!’
I think it’s pretty clear that Mir just wants attention and heat for a rubber match @ this point. Way to not look past your next opponent, douche. Now I want Carwin to KTFO him!
By hating Brock, he has become that which he most dispises, grasshoppha…

If I’m not mistaken Frank is a father. To wish death on another man who has children especially after a life threatening situation, is pretty weak. This isn’t how an adult should act especially one who’s representing a billion dollar business.
Btw anybody got the brock breaking door gif, i feel it applies.

it's surprising
because when Brock went down with his “potentially life threatening” intestinal situation, Mir said how he doesn’t like Brock but hoped he got better for the sake of his kids, and so he could fight him. now Brock’s back, and Mir goes all creepster like this. not only is it highly distasteful but Mir sure has on his swim trunks…and his flippy-floppies
Goldie: "Michael Jordan-esque in his grappling skills is Travis Lutter."
Rogan: "No, no he's not. No."

over the line
I’m a Frank Mir fan, but jeezus……………death in the octagon? Not funny.
certified warlord
Good god, someone shut him up.
I know that fighters trash-talk about killing each other, but given Mir’s obsession with his pasty white whale, this seems a bit extreme. If it is just talk, then he’s sinking to lowest-common-denominator and it’s boring.
Either way, I just want it to stop…please…

See what I mean when I say Mir's lines ALWAYS sound cheesy, and forced?
look I’m Frank Mir! I want to break every single bone in his body and lick the blood off Lesnar’s carcass.
Perhaps he believes that “my skills are formidable, my defense is impregnable, my rage indecipherable…etc”

“I want to make sure his wife’s gynecologist feels the beating I’m going to give him, I want his proctologist’s car to crash into a tree, I want his mailman to discover something horrible in his mailbox, I just want Brock’s world to be very strange and surprising.”

So what happens if brock does die in the ring?
Will Mir get charged with conspiracy to commit murder?
Then he can go to jail and convert to islam and become known as Muhammed Mir and get off on 4 years after good behavior and community service.
but with that name he’d get arrested in his first attempt to travel by plane and spend the rest of his days in Guantanamo.

I’m not buying the “Mir is Lesnar crazy” thing at all. Mir is just building some cheat heat for what otherwise would be a fight no one wants to see, think about it, Lesnar sitting on Mir for 5 – 10 Mins isn’t fun unless you buy into this Mir killing machine fantasy act.

A well-adjusted
“future hall of famer”.
Hate to beat a dead horse, but I think saying you want to kill a man in the cage is far worse for the sport than someone smoking some plants.
Why would you say that about a guy who could legitimately snap and kill you in the ring. Its like kicking a grizzly bear in the balls.
How did I end up on this bandwagon and why does everything say property of Chael Sonnen?
Yeah I get wanting to hype a fight, but there is definitely a wrong way to do that, and Mir just crossed into that line…
He always contradicts himself, talking about being a martial artist our of the 2 of them, then talking about wanting to kill him for real…
Hold on people before we go jumping to conclusions
did anyone stop to think that maybe these quotes are taken out of context?

Who cares?
Lesnar will come back or not. I’d almost rather see Big Nog get a rematch and kicking Mir’s ass but I’ll settle for Shane Carwin pulverizing Mir’s face into the consistency of ground beef.

Eh
He doesn’t mean this at all. Just trying to bump up his paycheck for the inevitable 3rd fight
We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms, turning every good thing to rust.
Agreed
I was just about to say this! If he talks shit for the next few months, he has to be next in line and might get a little pay increase! Thing is about Mir, he always goes on about ‘being a martial artist’, ‘being respectful and setting examples for his kids’, and then he says ridiculous things like this. He also interviews himself in interviews, check it out next time there’s one up:
Do I think I’m the better fighter? Yes I think we’ll see that when I rip his arm off.. blah blah
I I hate to bring up wwe
But I have to point out that Mir seems like he’s gonna do a Brian pilman character now & I guess that makes Brock Steve Austin? He should drive in to the arena for the rematch in a beer truck & spray Mir in the middle of the octagon with miller light
Be like water..

What created the need for you to point that out, precisely? Because if I know, then I can do everything to avoid it in the future.

At one second he say’s he wishes Brock no harm because he has a family and everything, the next he wants to kill him, make up your mind man.
these comments will just make mir look stupid if or when they fight and brock gets the double leg and proceeds to turn mr mir’s face into a beef pattie

wow
i don’t like brock lesnar either, but frank stepped way over the line i can’t belevie im gonna say this but i never want to see him win another fight again…. bring overeem over to knock his ass into next week!!!!!!!!! WHAT A PRICK
Does anybody think
That maybe part of it is that Carwin isn’t playing into his game of shit talking and he has to find an outlet for his douchiness. Since Carwin isn’t participating he has to direct it towards Lesnar. Maybe he needs to do this to build himself up to fight. Not that it’s right or anything. I dislike Mir very much.
"I will do nothing lightly. When I walk, I will walk heavily. When I fight, I will fight with conviction. When I speak, I will speak strongly. When I love, I will love with everything"
From subo over at Fight Linker
"I want to break his neck in the ring. I want him to be the first person that dies to Octagon-related injuries."
I’m on the verge of wanting Mir/Carwin called off and Frank being fined and suspended indefinitely. This isn’t funny. One guy goes in the ring with an ulterior motive, and everything the sport has become is flushed in one immortal highlight. I don’t care if he’s building heat, joking, I don’t care. Unacceptable.
Also, what Mir said is far worse than anything Lesnar has said thus far. If Brock would have said this, there would be a shit storm of negative media barreling down on his as I type.

Big Words
That’s some big talk from a guy who just beat the #17 HW in the world after losing his belt in a fight where he landed a grand total 8 blows.
Maybe he’s trying to break that golden “10 Blow” level.
Sad how out of the 5 guys in title contention..the “interim” belt will be decided between the 2 LEAST deserving guys.
everyone’s signature here should be “i hate Frank Mir”. Fighters say this type of dumb shit all the time. Its just because Mir said it that you are all getting your panties in a bunch. The fact that he said it clearly and intellegently makes it sound “psycho” Would it have been not pyscho if he just said " ima gonna smash em up, im bout to killem.
But Brock Lesnar trashing Bud Light
at UFC 100 was horrible, right?
This crossed a line that shouldn’t be crossed.

I think some people are overreacting just a bit...
I mean some of these comments actually suggest he may intend on following through with that quote. Really?
Side Control
I don’t think Mir really thinks this way…. he’s just marketing himself and building hype. It’s all about making money, and hey, it works. Sadly, but this is why fake wrestling is so big- these fake drama lines.
In any case, I don’t see Mir beating Carwin, but if he does, I think he’ll be able to take Brock as well. If Frank can get nearly the size of Lesnar, I think Frank could beat him.
Brock has one move. It’s called good side control. And that’s easier to do when you’re 40 pounds heavier than your opponent.
hype the fight.... (overlook Carwin) that'z fine...
