Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

My close personal Youtube friend Yoshihiro Akiyama recently posted a series of videos from a Korean TV show where he was featured joining the Korean army for two days.
I don't speak Korean but this is still amazing.

Starts to get a bit weird with #4.

I dislike Matt Hughes. Shogun beat him like a dirty horse.

Watched every minute of this video, understood none of it, yet loved all of it.

If you like this,

you gotta watch the series “Family Outing” that Akiyama was on.

The gist of the show: Akiyama goes on vacation with the series’ “family” (actually 6-8 Korean celebrities, pop stars, comedians, etc.) and completes a series of tasks, challenges, chores, etc. He grapples all the family members (one after another) in a ring set up on a beach, flicks people’s foreheads with his index finger so hard that it gives them headaches, goes shopping for seafood, etc. Good times.

You can watch it here (with English subs)…

Isn’t he required to join the Korean Army anyway?

He would if he kept his Korean passport.

But now he’s a Japanese citizen with Japanese passport. He’s 4th generation Korean living in Japan so that makes him ethically 100 percent Korean.

*PS. His wife is SMOKING HOT Japanese model.

You have to beat the legend, in order to become the LEGEND
