I understand that this site has become very popular in recent months and this will mean that people will start to show up from various communities. However, unlike those other websites, this community has a history of being educated MMA fans.
While I understand that Fedor is the greatest and that Pride will never die, please refrain from constantly bringing these two points up in discussion. Speaking of things to refrain from doing in discussion, please try and stay on topic and don't look for fights. This just means that we'll have an enjoyable time discussing a sport that we enjoy.
Also, quit talking about how you've been watching the sport since UFC 1. You most likely have not. If you have, that's awesome but this isn't a dick measuring contest and no one really cares. If you do want to bring up how old school of a fan you are, please contribute something along the lines of Kid Nate's MMA history series or Brent Brookhouse's Old School Fighter pieces. That would be a great way to utilize the fanpost section. Posting about who would win between Fedor and a pack of Velociraptors is not a proper utilization of the fanpost section.
I'm sorry if I'm coming off as a jerk but I enjoy this site and the educated discussion and would like to retain this for as long as possible. If anyone else has anything to add that would be great.
Please also remember that MMA is a sport. You can be a fan, but unless you have some sort of investment, please remember that at the end of the day you are a fan and the fighters you are getting rabid about probably hate you. So quit it with the insults.
Also, no Nazi Ducks.
Your biggest fan,
